  1. You also could have a rebound hypermobility from a hypomobility elsewhere. Those bones have to move more in the wrist joint complex because others are restricted.
  2. So ask a doctor about Prolotherapy. They inject a solution (usually glucose based) into the joint. That stimulates inflammation and fibroblastic activity to make new collagen in that joint. It's a series of injections. The real trick is the rehab therapy afterwords. Too aggressive and you'll ruin all the therapy has accomplished. Too light and you wrist will be stiff as hell.
  3. Face it, Bellingham is a good launch point, best in the PNW, but as for local climbing or winter rock, you are out of luck.
  4. It's fucked. Call me tomorrow
  5. Is it too loose or too rigid? It all depends on the answer man!
  6. Your right. I'm a fake. A phony. School has sucked all the life out of me. Hopefully a move, change of scenery, and change of jobs will get me out of this slump. Your TR does indeed, kick our TR's ass.
  7. You should have your wrist re-xray'd to make sure the proximal scaphoid (it gets less blood supply than the rest) isn't undergoing avascular necrosis. If not, have someone with sensitive hands to check the joint play to evaluate if the carpals are hyper or hypomobile. If they are hyper, then prolotheraphy may be in your future, if hypo, then see a chiropractor. If AVN...you're fucked.
  8. They all equally suck. The leading edge is 10 feet high and is two walls at a little girls gymnastic facility. Wooden reachy problems. $10. The YMCA is pretty tall, but about 30 feet wide and will be sharing with mountaineer gapers and little retarded children getting "hoorayed" up the wall. The WWU wall is probably your best shot. Although it's about as good as a public recreation facility wall as you can expect. People have tried to create decent gyms in Bellingham. Tried and failed.
  9. Sorry, but the B'ham climbing gym scene sucks really really badly. Yes there may be a lot of mountains, but in the winter...well...you're fucked.
  10. our greybeard tr kicks your greybeard Tr's ass
  11. looks like good functional training for getting through slide alder in alaska
  12. Oh, and did you see out cornice hole?
  13. Portland once again representing the N.Cascades.
  14. What I like about Aliens is the softer metal and floppy nature. They "set" nicer. I can just see that C3 pulling since it is not only stiff but smooth, especially in a vertical placement. The Zeros are floppy, but too wide and not as soft metal. I've flown onto all my aliens a ton and they've always held, even the black one. If they'd just ramp up their quality control, I'd buy them again.
  15. Yell at it or mash the keypad with your hands. Quit your job
  16. Just askin'
  17. Good job and thanks for the beta. Way to speed that mo'fo. What is it with you and Stuart?
  18. You can find a study that says pretty much anything, it depends on the quality of the study and also the reproducibility of the study. You're in exercise science so you should be fully aware of shitty studies - As far as I know, there's more quality studies that say it helps vs. it does nothing.
