Really? then why are the president, vice president, senators, and members of the house either dems or repubs? (maybe 1 or 2 exceptions) The vast majority of Governors are repubs or dems, and I'm having a hard time thinking of any one elected in the state of WA who isn't either a dem or a repub.

Every once in a while I do a tele turn on AT gear. It's pretty tricky due to no resistance. Mostly on flat, slightly dh terrain I pretend I'm an XC ski racer and leave my heels unlocked and go straight down.

Looks like fun. Too bad the plane tickets cost so much.

All the wankers are talking about Silverton . If you can handle skiing in an area that hasn't been featured in Powder mag check out Shames Mountain. You can get a 1 ride ticked for $9 or $10 Canadian, and if you hang with the locals you can get set up with the ski patrol shack and have heated lodging with a kitchen for another $10 Canadian. The down side is you've gotta get to Terrace BC which isn't as beautiful as Telluride, but the ski area kicks butt.

There's nothing wrong with resort skiing. It's fun, and it helps you log enough dh time so when you go bc skiing you can rip it up.
