  1. Caption: Dude, I had this turkey basted with some special sauce...if ya know what I mean.
  2. Yeah...what kurt said!!! CO is for punks! Conversation w/ typical boulderite: "Hi, my name is bob, i'm from boulder....did i mention i'm from boulder...hey, back in boulder, where i'm from, we gots all that...i'm a co native' Word on the street is colorado aint the center of the universe!!!!!!!! hi my name is bob i am from boulder. did i say i live in boulder? check out my $4000 mountainbike on the roof on my suv my parents bought me for my high school graduation. i really care about this planet and place i live.... boulder, so i can drive my gass guzzling lexus suv to the coffee shop. sometimes i will ride my $4000 bike, but only in boulder, so everyone in boulder can see what i am riding." Trustafarians. They're everywhere in CO. Don't worry Beck, I'll get any plenty of skiing here and in BC this winter. I think we've beat this to death
  3. I think WA skiers would rejoice if you would only move to CO Beck. You could live in a trailer park with a 60 mile commute to your mimimum wage job polishing the boots of rich people. When it comes to the best skiing neither CO or WA measure up to BC. BC
  4. Truth is if you're skiing anywhere past early July then you're a skiing geek and should be out rock climbing with RuMR
  5. If all you're interested in is skiing lift serviced crap then you are truely a moron. In a good year, like this is shaping up to be, you can ski fron the top of Rainier in early August and still get a 7 to 8000' run. I'm not shocked that you are too much of a wuss to hike. I've skied at A Basin in June and all the good stuff is gone; leaving you with runs only slightly better than Hood.
  6. Acording to Griz Jackson Hole has charm. It's just a lame ass tourist trap with good views and access to climbing, skiing, etc. The town is a hellhole, and when the revolution comes the business owners of Jackson Hole will be the first ones up against the wall. Larimie is in the middle of nowhere except for the fact that Veedawoo is 15 min. out of town and Veedawoo You can spend the weekend at Devil's tower and that. Day climbing at Eldo and other front range destinations are easy to get to and they
  7. The East Coast is a black hole. As to your pathetic attemt to dodge the whole issue of base depth. I would say that all ski areas exagerate total snow depth, therefore when you compare area to area you get a good sense of what's going on. Actually the skimpy bases that you guys have in CO are even more reason to lie, and if you add 5 inches to a 15" base you get a greater percentage increase than if you add 5" to 70." Keep telling yourself and others your lies about the state of CO. That will help keep the northwest free of suckers. We don't want you here.
  8. I like my turkey without parables. Happy Thanksgiving
  9. Ski area's in CO with pretty good terrain: A Basin Crested Butte Telluride. All the other resorts are well groomed intermediate ego places. Here's a shot of some shitty WA skiing taken durring last year's low snow year.
  10. Griz, you've got bad reading comprehension. The east coast is not overhyped but CO is. Lets do a little comparison shopping. As of today the snow base in inches at the following ski areas. CO Telluride = 19" Keystone = 15" Vail = 18" Steamboat = 33" not a bad start WA Crystal = 37" Stevens Pass = 51" Baker = 70" As far as quality goes it's a mixed bag around here from to on the other hand in CO the best conditions are but the long weeks inbetween dumps are and skiing on a skimpy base is
  11. Colorado is the stupidest most overhyped state when it comes to skiing.
  12. I've seen boot packing done on a regular basis in CO. I can only think of 1 or 2 times I've seen boot packing done around here. I'm with you on Jackson Hole. That sounds like the place to be in the US for lift accessed bc skiing. If we start talking about British Columbia I can think of a few places that offer sick lift accessed skiing for less than $10 a day.
  13. There's hot lava at Snoqualmie Pass? No shit Dave who would have thought that.
  14. I don't think that's an isolated incident. While in JTree at new years I've heard public service messages on LA radio stations warning people about shooting their gun straight in the air.

Glad I missed the cluster fuck. Football is I'm not really a football fan anymore, though I used to be. I just want to say FUCK DAVE SHULTD
  16. I'm sure there'll be some really good ski days for you this winter and spring. Just pick the right slopes.

    Have a great day!

I don't have time to type out all the problems you cause.

    Have a great day!

I'm just trying to be eficient and deal with two problems at once.

    Have a great day!

Here's my well thought out solution. Have both GW Bush and j_b molested by the Borax 20 Mule Team. How's that for critical thinking.
  20. It's been a long time since I've heard anyone use the term tatas
  21. I've skied a lot inbounds with dynafit bindings; both steep and deep. As far as I'm concerned beefy bindings only help when you're skiing bumps, chopped up crud, or huckin big cliffs. I'm hoping your attitude about the CO backcountry is just macho internet posturing TLG. Show some respect when you're really skiing.
  22. ahhh the good old days.
  23. I'm serious. Honda does not make stuff that any tree service would use. In fact Stihl is the company that makes the very best chainsaws for regular use in trees.
  24. Fuck Honda. It's gotta be either Sthil or Husqvarna. Also chainsaws are heavy enough already. I'm not going to haul a saw up in a tree that weighs twice as much.
  25. I agree that engines used for recreation should be forced to meet much higher standards. There is curently no alternative to the 2 stroke for chainsaws however. I'll think about it when there is an alternative, but until then.
