gowens - you're scottish right? isn't your country still owned by your english neighbors to the south? boy, it must just suck to be dominated by a bunch of tea sipping fudge packing pansies like the english. can't believe you still haven't shaken that one off. we did (USA). i think even the canuks have managed (although i think they still have the queen on their money or something). so what ever happened to the scottish independance movement? didn't they make a movie about your last attempt at autonomy about 600 years ago? i guess they had to get an australian like mel gibson to play the lead role because they couldn't find any scottsmen with acting ability.

open an application like photoshop or some freeware image app that came with your computer and hit "control v" to paste it. then save it as a jpeg or whatever format bitch timmy's site can handle.

my what an enjoyable ride to work i just had; cool, quiet, pleasantly invigorating... i've been avoiding this thread because i figured it would be the usual, and now that i skim it i see that it is. while bikers necessarily freak out about cars because of the enormous potential for injury i can say that the biggest collision i've had ($40 damage to my bike) was from a collision with a biker behaving stupidly. i think the sad truth is that bikes will always play by two sets of rules. there are too many weird dangerous intersections to be a vehicle all the time. sticking to traffic laws will not in any way insure a bikers safety because the biggest danger is still the biker not being seen by the motorist. most of the motorists and bikers i encounter are very curteous, some motorists and bikers are assholes. i see guys on bikes with cell phones that aren't watching where they are going (in addition to the motorists of course). in these times of hatred and intolerance i think we should examine the utility of avoiding sweeping generalizations when deciding who makes the roads unsafe. actually you're already a convalescent care center. it's a website. want me to spell it out for you? just put trask in front of a computer with web access and he sits there all day staring and drooling. just like putting the kids in front of the tv.

congratulations on being trolled by pre-computer technology

if you don't douse your hair with kerosene and set your head on fire then run through the mountains wearing nothing but a kilt and no undies you are not old skool, mmmm-kay?

when trask posts here again it will be his affirmation of his deep and abiding love for us. my stopwatch is going.

trask couldn't quit this board if he tried. he is addicted. he does not have it under control. he loves us. he will continue to spray here everyday.

you may cut the trees if you replace them with an appropriate shrubbery!

as a rule shops will set bindings to a very low din so that they cannot be held liable if you have an injury from failure to release. presumably if you are skiing something where you are more likely to get injured from a prerelease you are doing so "at your own risk" or whatever and should know what you are doing i.e. set your own din. also, whatever the weight chart says you want to clamp down quite a bit higher if you are skiing aggresively. prereleasing can really really suck if you're skiing something exposed. i know people who got the burlier daimiers just so they could crank them down to 12. i would consider cranking them well beyond 6 or 7 depending on what you ski.

DFA just used the words "epicking" and "bolt" in the same sentence. potential for a six page sprayfest i'd say...

yes, it must have been hook creek, it definitely wasn't CMC, that's around the corner. i'm sure hook has been skied at some point, i'm just wondering if it's a good winter tour.

thank you all for your kind suggestions and offers. we did givlers and loved it, followed by some roadside flailing. it's always fun to get on rock after you've been doing way too much skiing. isn't it sad how skiing can get in the way of climbing... so my next question; has anyone ever skied the obvious gully directly across from givlers dome? it looks like it would be a sweet line if you had enough coverage lower down.
