    Skateboarding

The Carnation park is not that hard to find, its located in the little memorial park on the N(?) side of town, there are some public tennis courts there too. I havent been to the one on Orcas but my brah tells me its the shizzle. He skates the Mukilteo park daily and says that ones pretty good too. There are alot of good parks around. I have been borrowing my friends board the last couple times, but I think I will buy one now, get some good knee pads and skate more often. Its a pretty good workout!

I like it. Its a nice beginner park, and since its kind of further from large suburban centers there arent many people (if any) there. There is not street terrain, just a pool, but its a really nice place to learn and get your skills up. If people consent you can have 2 in at a time, one in the deep end and one in the shallow end.

    Skateboarding

I've been skating at Carnation a few times in the last couple weeks with some other "climbing" friends. But that pipe looks a little sick to me.
  5. Erick and I also pulled down some blocks while pulling rope descending Johannesburg, but we figured that was all just part of the program on that thing.

    London Explosions

True. I have been reading the Civil War Almanac by Commager. The politics during the time of that war and Lincoln were unbelievable, worse that modern day. All the same issues, all the same political parties and players, all the same shit. (Interestingly, of course, was that the Democrats at the time were pro-Slavery.) These things we gripe about have been around for at least 150 years, if not from the very birth of this nation.

One could argue that true leadership in this country regardless of political flavor is sadly lacking.

Sad that Bush is the barometer of idiocy. I don't find that sad. What I find sad is that greater than 50% of the American voter's in the last election voted for him, after having seen him in action for four years. That one out of every two voters is also a similar barometer for idiocy is what is really sad.
  12. S face of Pingora is pretty short and user friendly. One of the few places on earth where nuts are the bomb and cams completely useless.
  13. The answer is 1) a hanging stove do not use XGK. you've just spent bank to get the lightest tent known to man, yet you haul an XGK and white gas? I got a Markill Stormy hanging stove, or in a pinch just use the pocket rocket with a canister on the tent floor. If you are careful (and vent) you will have no problems.
