    Reporting Bugs

Hey Everyone, It recently came to our attention there are a few problems with the TR system, in that you can backdate and in the index you can't see past page 1. We'll work on fixing those in the coming weeks. In the meantime if people notice bugs (not to be confused with wants) just report them in this thread for now. While we do have a support system that gets quite a few requests we probably need to implement a better way for people to report bugs.
  2. Wow what a difference a couple weeks make. We had to slog it about 3 miles to the trailhead. We ran into a bunch of college kids who's Suburban got stuck. There must of been about 7 of them and it really didn't appear that they did much. As I'm attaching the rope to my car (read WRX pulling out a Suburban) I hear my GF say to one of the guys "Nice penis." I turn around wondering wtf is going on, and then one of the guys goes "Do you like the prince albert one?" These guys spent about 10 minutes trying to get the truck out, got bored, and spent the next hour drawing phallic symbols a la Superbad on dirt caked truck instead of walking half a mile to a campsite to get help. Classic.
  3. I still have this pack. Make me an offer!
  4. Doc and Marty are available I hear.

  9. The Hells Angles has an excellent outdoor training program operating out of Abbotsford consisting of sherpa..errr.....ummm...ering loads of extacy and pot across the border peaks.
  10. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/31/sports/othersports/01ralston.html?hp Didn't realize he wrote a book. Sounds like it has been a profitable experience for him. Kidding.
  11. Mike Rogers is as good as they come. http://paragonfitnesspt.com/
  12. Now, I don't expect any of you to know who these people are in this picture, or what race this is, or what sport this is for that matter, but there is a guy in this picture who accomplished a pretty awesome thing today after experiencing a pretty tragic event in the last 6 months. He happens to post on this board otherwise I wouldn't waste your time with this. Nice work baller! http://www.cyclingnews.com/road/2009/mar09/tirreno09/index.php?id=/photos/2009/mar09/tirreno09/tirreno093/PIC10818328
  13. When did you get that error message?
  14. SAC and the likes are killing local shops.
  15. You can use the poll feature on here. PM me if you need help. Use the economic climate to your advantage. There is a lot of empty business space available now, so you can lock in a cheap lease. Construction labor and material prices have plummeted.
  16. Awesome! We need to figure out what is going on with these pictures. Seems that Picasa doesn't like embedded pictures.
  17. Guys, I have a whole bunch of old climbing mags laying around I will mail you. You can't have my Lynn Hill frees the nose one though! PM me your details and I'll pop them in the mail.
  18. Call Pro Mountain Sports, I'm pretty sure Jim said that getting Grivel products isn't a problem.

    Display Upgrades

I would install firefox. I have very limited exposure to Vista but I will tell you it is a hog, and makes a laptop run so hot that you will likely burn out your hardware quicker then if you were running XP. We are still having some problems with the ads which I have tried to address with Google, but have yet to resolve. I'm not sure if this has to do with one particular ad or more globally with Google, but I'm personally getting sick of it as I'm sure you are. I'm working on it and I assure you I will find a solution even if it means removing them. I'm going to start by blacklisting some of the google advertisers, both because I think their ads are crappy and break our site, and more importantly they are running an unfair and unsustainable business model that is hurting our local retailers. Online retailers that offer 30% off on everything are breaking their contracts and in the end screw everyone over. Please please please support local retailers especially ones that have been supporting us for so long. I remember us losing a lot of retailers in the 90s and we are poised to have the same happen again unless we rally behind them.
  20. I really hope the decide to do a limited run on the back issues.
  21. I have an older Leedom too and it's been a great helmet. For years I would only occasionally wear my helmet, but it took one fall on really hard ice to change my mind on that. Luckily I had my helmet on because it still really rung my bell. Look for adjustable vents, and if you do a lot of spring skiing one that has a lot of them. Mine is a bit uncomfortable on the forehead, probably due to being a tad too small and packed out. Leedom and Giro are the gold standard brands for ski helmets. Really though, I've had enough bad sh1t happen to me or seen over the last 10 years to where I wouldn't even think of climbing, biking, or skiing without a helmet. I've been on a rescue or seen two climbing accidents resulting in death or severe trauma that could have been avoided by wearing a helmet. In both cases the person had the helmet WITH THEM but didn't wear it. A girl died in a tree well at Bachelor about 4 years ago after hitting a tree and going unconscious.. didn't find her until the summer, all because she didn't have a helmet. Just wear one, you'll look a lot less stupid with one on then in a wheel chair drooling on yourself.
  22. There is a lift tower down in one of the pictures.
