  5. Bill that is an excellent suggestion. Wikipedia does something similar with their featured articles, which are chosen by their editors. We could do something similar where posts or TRs could be nominated and then voted on by a peer editorial group. These could be featured on a special page and made searchable.
  6. Looks like the system might not be updating correctly. I'll take a look at it. Thanks for letting us know.

    Subaru Brakes

I haven't looked at the rotors closely, but I've got ~67k on them. No vibration or anything, but it sounds like the pads are on their last legs.

    Subaru Brakes

So I just called a reputable mechanic in Seattle who deals with only Subaru, and they told me that they will not do just a brake pad replacement on new models, but require to do the rotors as well. They say that the Subaru rotors are so thin that they will warp easier after they machine them, and in their opinion they are ripping the customer off by just doing the pads. Are they blowing sunshine up my ass or is this a legitimate concern?

    Avatar Images

Hey Folks, We recently got a support email regarding avatar images that might be considered offensive/sexual in nature at your work. While we do try to keep these in check it's safe to say that our standards might not be as high as your works IT department. The easiest solution for this is to go to "My Stuff->My Preferences->Show User's Avatars?" and click on the no box.
  13. Maybe we shouldn't post people's addresses on here.

    Missile Command...

I understand your point. My point is that she wasn't solvent enough to save enough money to have enough savings in the event she did lose her job. I'm done debating this it's been fun.

I don't care if the lenders want 28/38... 36/38... 32/24/36 as long as she's got some back... that's not the point and this is of course coming from the industry that helped create this fucking mess. Her monthly take home income after taxes was something around $4500, and over half of that was going towards her mortgage. How solvent can someone be in a position like this? Don't get me wrong I feel terrible for her because obviously someone wasn't looking out for her, but this is a classic example of what is going on, someone that is earning a good wage but has overextended themselves.

harsh. btw 38% of 70K is 2215 / month, not too far off, and it depends what her other debt is. Fuck did you go to the same school?!?! You are calculating that before any taxes. Happy Bday sucka

http://www.cnn.com/2008/LIVING/personal/03/27/foodbank.family/index.html Making $70k/year with two kids and has a $2500 mortgage? Unless I'm mistaken isn't that over half her income.. assuming she isn't getting support from her ex-husband? I feel sorry for the kids who's mom obviously went to the Erik Zoolander School for Parents who can't Balance Financials Well School. "What's two plus two?" "Jello."
