Lance was in a four man breakaway in the Liege with Axel Merckx, and Lance attempted to drop them before he was caught by the break Hamilton was in. Eddie thought it was disrespectful of Lance to do that to his son, and went on to say that he is looking rather unimpressive. Remember the Eddie and Lance are/were very close friends. Personally I can't even imagine crashing at 70 mph, let alone going that fast, and only getting minor road rash like he did. This spring I got up to 60 mph in a race and I was scared out of my mind.

You should move to Holland, I think there is an article in Outside about how they are essentially elimating cars.

It's all good. If you have any questions a guy I race with is a police officer and I can ask him.

Yes they can ride across and yes you must yield to them. Did you know that in Bellevue that you are supposed to wait for a pedestrian to be completely off the cross walk before you can turn. Who obeys that one. Riders who ride up along cars at an intersection without a lane are idiots. They need to get behind a car, clear the intersection, and then get over to the right. I call people out on this all the time. I have had people yell at me when I'm at a stop light and in the middle of the lane. Reason why I and others do this is so we don't get cut off into the curb at the end of the intersection. Complain and question laws all you want, I've seen stupid stuff on bikes but nothing compares to what I've seen drivers. Remember that you car is essentially a weapon and that cyclists, no matter how much you hate and despise them, are not targets or obstacles on the road, they are just normal people gettting some exercise.

Sloth has taken a few isolated instances and pinned them on a whole group. Yes there are "jersey boys and girls" that don't follow the rules. Being a "jersey boy" myself I can tell you we obey the rules much more then our non jersey friends. Usually when you see people minus the lid the more stupid shit they do. I've had plenty of runins with drivers but I don't hate drivers. My most recent encounter envolved me being hit by a car that cut in front of me, have the drive yell at me saying that I was stupid and that it was my fault, and then try to pin damage on me that no only was impossible for a bike to cause but on the other side of the car. Some facts. The reason you see some cyclists on roads and then on sidewalks and back and forth is because in a region that claims it is so devoted to cyclists they are aweful at putting in cycling lanes. This is the land of the disappearing bike lane. It dangerous for everyone involved. In the State of Washington it IS legal for groups to ride in pairs. I'm not saying it's not irritating when behind the wheel.

That's just about the biggest crock of shit I've ever heard. Hope your fanbelt breaks on the commute home, asshole. Thinker that is the fucking most idiotic thing I've ever heard. Burden on our health care system? What is worse, an active person who breaks the occasional bone or some worthless piece of shit sitting on their couch drinking beer and eating doritos all day long suffering from every heart condition there is and will have for the rest of their life. Go into a clinic or a hospital, who do you see? Not a bunch of bike commuters. Trust me I'm reproducable. Bring your daughter to Pub Club and I'll prove it.

YEAH SCREW THOSE JERSEY BOYS WITH THEIR SHAVED LEGS, WHAT A BUNCH OF FAGS!

I wonder what Eddie Merckx is saying now! It will be interesesting to see how the Tour plays out this year, considering Tyler is on another team and has had an amazing season winning Liege and Romandie. Cipo won't be gracing the tour this year, more time to stand in front of the mirror looking at his rainbow jersey and organizing his walkin shoe closet.

If you are in a rest period and are doing some exercise I think the worst thing you can do is lift weights and not do any cardio. Do you feel like your muslces don't have any "snap"/explosiveness? You are then letting broken down compounds and lactic acid fester in tissues without "flushing" you system out with some light cardio. Sounds like you need to introduce yourself to the "rest/recovery day". A recovery day can actually be a long day but at a very low heart rate and level of perceived exersion. The recovery day is actually more beneficial then not doing anything because you are increasing blood flow to your tissues and giving then nutrients needed to repair themselves. Also you could change your workout to make it more enjoyable. I can't think of anything more boring then hiking stairs 3 times a week.

No, we lack anything resembling creativity or originality.

You should have been at the doctor 2 weeks ago if you have insurance. It's one thing for something to hurt for weeks and get worse but when you loose feeling that is not good, usually a sign of nerve damage. The thing about toes is they don't get better unless they are immobilized. I've had pretty bad turf toe from climbing and soccer and it takes FOREVER to heal. I've also had pretty sore big toes from cramming my feet into my climbing shoes and it takes months for them to feel better.

The slideshow is indeed FREE, although I think we might be asking for donations at the door for the Access Fund, not sure about that yet. There is supposed to be a raffle as well. Brother Beck has been the man behind this, maybe he can clarify.

Rode Phil's Trail on Sunday in Bend, that shit gives me a boner. Tim recommends riding from Bachelor to Tumalo falls and then to Bend
-
5 to 5.5 hours from the Eastside to Smith is about right. I think we made it from Bend to Bellevue in 5:15 one time, of course we made zero stops. I would definately go 97 this weekend, traffic almost a guaranteed clusterfuck all day on Friday. They have repaved portions of the drive in Oregon, starting at the Columbia. It's much more pleasant but there seems to be more cops like by Moro(?). I made a major error last time I drove down, I was doing between 70 - 90 at night in the Sube between Toppenish and Goldendale. Of course I slowed down before Goldendale knowing there was a State Patrol station there, but it was too late, he got me way up the road, luckily only at 72. Speed limit is 60. I got off for having a clean record and being honest.

Scott Schmitd was the shit even though he couldn't complete a sentance.
