No current beta, but I'm gonna say with a high level of certainty that it's totally and completely bare. I'm sure even the glaciers themselves are substantially reduced from their normal size.

Gee, what a choice we might have: Bernie or Trump Trump or Hillary Hillary or Jeb We are fucking lost. And of the four, Bernie is the only one that would be any different than anything else. Which is why he will never get the nomination, and why I still give no shits about the whole stupid pointless thing.

I hadn't even thought about it like that. Wow... Trump v. Sanders. True national litmus test... It's just a damn shame his name is Sanders and not Sanchez. At least it doesn't end in "witz"

Don't let them tell you otherwise.

More importantly, I was once an unborn baby. As a former unborn baby yourself, and as a member of society that sets collective standards for itself, you also have permission to have an opinion!

Mmmmmm.. abortion. Disagree with him on that. OH HELL YES I DID BRING THAT SHIT UP But I'm not gonna debate about it. You can have it.

There's not a whole lot about Bernie I disagree with, myself. Depending on which version of me you ask.

you ran my sleeping bag up the trail? (07/30/13)

Perhaps, like the widow in the temple, a six pack is all he has to his name (aside from climbing gear), and he's offering all he has in gratitude. -
It gets muted for having copyrighted music. So this is what had the wife circling for 25 minutes trying to find a parking spot within artillery range of Red Robin last night! Well ol' Bernie lost my vote. Anyone who causes me wife to vent on me is no friend of mine.

Solo the north side of Jeff in bare condition? I seem to recall a TR from a couple years ago...

Seriously, though... what didn't you like about it? I absolutely hated my 45l worksack.... I loved it, and hated it all at once. The last straw was that the framesheet was too tall and would catch the back of my helmet, so I couldn't look up higher than about 10' above me while climbing, and with almost as much difficulty belaying. I was gonna cut it down in attempt too relieve the helmet, but along with my other complaints (mostly that you couldn't manipulate the bitchy little straps with gloves on), I just decided to sell. And I only got like $80 for it... bought new for full retail ($250 or something?). Fuckin' Cilo. And their customer service is fucking horrible. BUT... I wonder if I wouldn't have had the framesheet problem if I'd gotten a smaller size... was kinda thinking about trying yours (mine was L). Like an idiot returning to stupidity.

How fast does volcanic choss dull crampons?
Ben Beckerich replied to Colin's topic in Climber's Board
Stands to reason that a scratchy substance that crumbles and crunches under the points, therefor causing a lot more rubbing/friction against them, would dull them faster than a point sitting on hard rock and let just lifting back up -
Why do you hate it?

Google earth is still hella useful even for glacier- given that the images seem to be summer shots, it'll show you were crevasses typically open up in a glacier... Whether they're there when you get there is anyone's guess, but it can still be super useful info.

Sunday... up and back down.. no probs. A little retarded, but only a little

No way I'd take adding any distance or elevation to avoid the 15 minutes of mild annoyance that the nisqually offers. It's just not that bad.

I don't think that guy really knows what he's talking about, tho. -
[TR] Mt Adams - Mazama Glacier 7/5/2015

I love how desolate that side is. I've been up a couple times and haven't ever seen anyone else (till Pikes Peak, anyway). Never even boot prints, for that matter. -

You sure that pack is "orange?" I have the exact same pack and it's definitely what I'd call straight up red. That aside... I'm more interested in what's laced between the mini-d rings on the front of the pack there.... mine didnt come with anything, and I've just laced in my own bungee straps - what's yours, did you improvise it, and how's it cinch down? -

AAhh.. Wapowty Cleaver.... (about 1/3rd of the way down) http://www.mountrainierclimbing.us/sar/queryfatalities.php?activity=Flying Totally. That would explain both sets of debris, and why the parts look to match. -

Know where that one hit? I found this pile on the Nisqually. This is one of the pieces I found up on the Turtle couple years ago: -
