It gets ragged on because of the [lack of] scenery, the trash, and the constant noise of the freeway right there. There has been a lot of cleaning up out there lately and I am glad to hear about. I should be out at the next one on the 17th, I believe. That's the crag I started climbing at, but I haven't been there in couple years due to the conditions I stated. this one? only ever TR'ed it and at wasn't pretty. That and Ace, a few lines to the left, always gave me a ton of trouble for only being 5.8. Back to the OP: its a blank line in the third and second edition too, but I second what Chad and bkb000 already said.

The best way to get better, faster, stronger, more confident... is to get out and climb! If you have only been on TR a few times, spending time off terra firma (even on easy routes) will go a long way with making you feel more comfortable about getting on the sharp end. Placing gear and tagging a rope to practice gear placement while on TR is a great way to learn the art of leading. I wish I could have done that before jumping on lead. My lady and I are doing a little gorge tour this weekend; hitting up Ozone, Farside, and Beacon. I have been leading a few of the low .10's at Farside on gear and am more than willing to show you around out there. Have you been out to the Bridge of the Gods bouldering area? Shoot em a PM if you want to meet up this weekend for a day. ~Adam

Headed up that way for some good views and see if I can get up Yoran this time; since it shouldn't be raining... I am curious about the snow on Diamond, levels and such. I was on MSH last weekend and if it was like that, there is not need to trek the 'pons in since it was really soft. Thanks for any info! ~Adam

Glad to hear you are on treatment already, I know some folks that ignored it and twenty years later they can hardly walk (like MS bad). That shouldn't be your case though. I was bitten in the BWCAW and my face was half paralyzed before I made it out to get treatment. After getting pumped up on antibiotics my doc told me to stay active, even if it is just long walks. I know I was getting minocycline when I went in for my IV's. That is the one you want for late stage stuff since it is able to get to the bacteria that has gone from you blood into your nervous system. I had a full smile a shortly after the treatment started and glad for it. Hope this helps and good luck. ~Adam

I was out at Carver yesterday and met one of the guys organizing the trail build out there tomorrow. It can really use it, especially on the trail between the two walls. Ritter is knight auf English; gallop down that mountain! Big fan of the cheese, too- and I usually bring fresh garlic to go with it since keeping the skeeters away was a priority back home. Nutella has got to be my favorite snack, the packaging sucks though... Heavy, malty, dark beers are very nice at the fire too! The only bars I go for are the Luna, Builder, or RAW ones. The first two might as well be a candy bar and the RAW bars actually taste like real food even if they don't quelm my stomach too long... maybe I can blame that on the spliff

I turn in my last final tomorrow, later today I guess, and then I am free!!! I am thinking some Carver Cliffs for qualitative analysis of forces is in order. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.

I've got a huge picnic in Laurelhurst that I am hosting the 26th, but I have the next couple weekes after that off.

Good friend getting married that weekend. My summer is looking pretty open though
