Great photos as always. That summit pinnacle shot of you on yer site is HAWT! Sorry to hear about your socks -
http://www.zanfel.com/help/ Only thing that I have found to help. And it does feel like sandpaper going on; in a masochisticly great way. Hope your insurance covers it. Last time I was using it, it ran $40 a tube and it took me two tubes to cover my [blister covered] body. As for preventative care-- eyes all about it!

What a great weekend! Opening day-- Lap on the corner with Bill and Tim O. Then I met this nice guy, Stewart. We ran another lap on the corner and then hit Jill's Thrill. Then the white boyz finally made it down and did another lap on the corner. Slept through Dave's deep-fried shindig. Saturday-- Towed the rope to the base of Ben's FA project and proceeded to nap on a tiny ledge with a great view of the gorge. Sunday-- Climbing porn with Ivan and Dod's to Big Legde. What a blast! Thanks folks! Waud you all get on this fine opening weekend?

My Mammut is a big bigger, but the thing is tough as nails. +1 for Mammut -
Anyone headed out from PDX tomorrow morning? Still looking for a ride out that way.

in groups of two or is there a reason for putting 14 on a rope? guess I never climb with that many, but do people do this?

Chemistry Slab at Carver. +1 for Rooster. EZ corner at Rocky Butte. The Farside would be a great place to start looking as well.

you ever find those stolen cams Plaid? http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/clo/3072019066.html four basic "cam's" of the same size? little fishy to me -
View from the Summit of Squaw Rock at Smith Rocks. Sorry about the quality of my dumb phone camera... There is a rap anchor on the top now (would guess that Tyler has something to do with that), but hauling a rope out there is not worth it imo. Easy solo up and down with the hardest stuff right at the start.

The cult of the Tri-Cam (now in the correct forum)
Teh Phuzzy replied to A_Little_Off_Route's topic in The Gear Critic
for sure! Especially on Basalt columns like Beacon. Placed a few on the West Side Variation on Monkey Face yesterday. As for Camp Tri-cams. I have a pink one ready with sling on my rack for almost all my climbs around PDX here. If you are on the fence, get one this size to try out and if you like it and get a set, you won't be disappointed to have two of the little pinkies. They are a little different to place and the second should have a nut tool to assist in getting them out, but I haven't ever had much of a problem getting them out. I find them to be really useful in horizontal cracks where a cam stem would bend if you were to fall on it. JH has some mods that are typical of Gunks climbers that make them a little less unwieldy. Can't find the thread though. -

I have that same bag and a 110m static line would have to be coiled just right to fit in it. An 10,5mm sixty doesn't always want to go in nicely. For what its worth... -
Looks cool. Shits as old as I am!
