There were people out there messing around on Calendar Wall even before Rod Fox. If entering from the gate at the access to the Walker Valley trails it is even a closer walk than the Bald Thimble as we used to refer to it.

Wow! No kidding. That was the odd thing is that the valley does have an incredibly wild feel to it and then to find that as the only sign of people was strange. I saw not even the scrap of a balloon in that area. Pretty freaking nice. Thanks for the info Darin, that is very interesting.

No roads......creek seems to small to float logs and the side of the valley where the cables are is 99% talus. This is a good mystery.

Went to explore Green Creek Valley last weekend and look at Berdinkas Mythic Wall. After gaining access into the valley and starting to traverse toward the Mythic Wall I came across three cables running from the valley wall down towards the creek bed. Now, I am curious as to what the cables are there for as I saw no real evidence of tailings at the site and there is no real road or trail to the point in the creek. I scrambled up a way to investigate but got sidetracked and never found the terminus at either end. Does anyone know about these? Darin? Did you notice them? Anyone?

Back in the mid 90's I spent a significant amount of time exploring some walls around that area. My main area of interest at the time was Split Rock and then Calendar Wall, but I did eye the face of which you speak and discussed it with a former partner named Bruce Bauer who said he had done some exploring on it. I doubt it is virgin but I am sure there is new route potential.

I was thinking about just trimming the peeled tab off to eliminate it getting caught on something and pulling more of the sole away. Then again I could plaster it with some shoe-goo. As far as looking stupid that is pretty normal for me so I can deal.

Awh suck! But they make me run faster!

Anyone have any issues with the C4 soles delaminating at the heel? After only about a month of use mine are coming apart.

Completely awesome photos! Thanks for posting such a sweet link Buckaroo. I found it somewhat amazing that the photo stats (views) were so low on some of those......74 to 114 views. It should be interesting to watch how quickly that number rises.

I was out last weekend just to have a look around and was impressed with the place. The rock has some really cool features and it appears that there is a significant amount of new route potential.

Now that is logic I admire and follow myself!
