I think things are dramatically different above 7000' or so though. Even at Paradise its currently only 20" less than average.

This doesn't seem right. I think there's a lot more snow up high this year than BPA thinks, even if its pretty sparse at pass level. And its definitly not as bad as 04/05.

There are companies though that that can putsprescription lenses for sports in sunglass frames. They can't do a lense that goes the whole spectrum though, so they can't go from from completely clear to really dark. If you get them glacier glasses dark they don't go all the way light.
Its really quite sad how you delight in such news. I doubt anyone misses the trainwreck that was the Bush Administration - in who's failures I don't think many delighted.
Rocker is a tonne more valuable in deeper heavier coastal snow than in a more continental snowpack. Fatter skis with some rocker are good for area and touring 'round here, IMHO.
