  1. Did you pay hundreds for a seminar too!?
  2. Rowan, keep in mind that besides general crevasse and avalanche danger, if weather closes in when you're above tree line you can't see shit and can't really move. Its a lot different than getting caught in a storm back east where, while cold and harsh, you can just walk out of it. That said, good luck. I hope you have good weather and conditions.
  3. That just a valid form of political protest.
  4. Charleton Heston for President! Wait ... nevermind, wrong thread.
  5. Are you talking about the repub's or the dem's? They're all a bunch of shitbags.
  6. Jobs aren't the issue here. the gays are getting married and sacred fetuses are being murdered and depriving the world of more people!

Better name than the USS Mt. St. Helens. For WWII cinema, The Pacific series and the two memoirs on which its based (Helmet for my Pillow by Rob Leckie and With the Old Breed by Eugene Sledge) are quite excellent. For the commute, currently listening to Matterhorn (on audiobook), the Vietnam War novel by Seattle author Karl Malantes. I'd recommend that also. Sobo, that pic of your uncle carrying a potato masher is pretty badass!
  9. I agree with Layton. If your a fatty and out of shape Xfit may be a good way to lose weight and get "in shape" if you don't get injured. If you're already in half way decent shape the best training for alpine climbing is just to run hills and go to the climbing gym. Of course you can always invest thousands in some cultish "seminar" like John Frieh and still be only able to climb 5.8 in the mountains.

    Welcome to Moscow liquor store.
  11. I tweeked a pulley tendon once. Unfortunately the only thing that fixed it was laying off it. At least its not climbing season.
  12. He can't cross the border because he might get violated by the TSA after that interview he gave.
  13. There's some yurts in the Wallowas too. I think they're privately owned though but they are for skiing.
  14. You should just go to B.C. there's a ton up there.
  15. Well, there's the North Cascade Heli-Ski yurt. That would be rad.
  16. There aren't any because it "destroys the wilderness."

Costco and Safeway sell wine and beer too, that hasn't put every other purveyor of wine and beer out of business. Why is it a negative that Costco supports this Initiative and has invested tons of money into it? Afterall, isn't Costco a Washington corporation and a big employer and taxpayer in this state? If Costco florishes at the expense of out-of-state liquor distributors that's a good thing as far as I'm concerned.
  18. How'd it go?
  19. Looks like a happy little anarchist.
  20. Nice. We climbed Standing Rock and Monster Tower a few weeks ago. PD on Moses looks awesome but we heard two of the bolts are missing on the .11 off-width. Definitly want to go back for Washer Woman.
  21. Kev, if you do call in here's a little helpful tip: The ACLU is not an 80's guitar band formed by Angus Young when ACDC broke up.
  22. Can listeners call in for Q&A?
  23. Yeah cool. This is fun.
  24. Don't mind me, I'm just over here busy being gay.
