  1. I would recommend going to a physical therapist who works with athletes. A PT would be able to determine what is causing your IT band to be aggravated. For myself, I try to stretch my hamstrings and hips but use a foam roller, I call it the "evil foam roller", to roll out my IT band. It hurts like heck but really keeps things moving. Did the ortho give you any advice about time or biomechanical issues?
  2. Fair enough. Plenty of folks don't have the taste for the single malt. But don't tell me you're a "Baileys man." Bailey's and cocoa are great for those backcountry ski trips - though a snifter of whiskey is lighter!
  3. Walked around the corner to the kitchen for another BB Porter, and what did I find? We had an open house last night for our new office location. Wally, the office manager, had brought out the leftover wine offerings. I'm into a charming glass of Goose Ridge 2005 Cab. It's not entirely tantalizing, yet I'm amused by its presumption. Sobo, what other reds do you have to offer?
  4. Ya think he will change jobs? Wonder how they retrieved the hand?

  6. I was there for 6 months and in India information seems to be conflicting. One should have a flexible schedual. Though, saw some increadible places and stayed with some very nice people. Love to go back and ski in Himachal Pradesh!
  7. Have to ask as I was in India, 20 years ago now, but how was the flight from DEL to SXR. I only took one flight from Kulu to Manli - delayed from DEL due to "technical" difficulties and then as they started the engines up a guy held up a fire extinguisher. I was to sick at the time but really laughed later! You were in a very beautiful area. Great skiing up there! Did you do a bit of exploring?

Oh Toto are we in Spray not Cafe Sensitivioso! I have a great pair of lycra tights that look like some 5 year old went crazy with a box of crayola crayons. If only I had a camera I would be happy to model them for you Have to see if I can borrow one as they are classic.

Hey GZ, I am not sure if your thinking of a compression type of garment or not but many athletes use these. They come in knee high, thigh high and waist high garments for the lower extremities. Bike racers, runners, and other athletes use them for when they are traveling to promote blood circulation and prevent blood clots. If you are thinking of warmth, etc. then windbriefs are the ticket.
  15. Thanks for the TR and pics of one of my favorite areas. Oops...I am drooling!
  16. RuMR, Got any pics to go along with those thoughts??
  17. I purchased a TX1 last year and have been very happy with it. Used it alot for skiing last year and several recent early morning starts in the Alpine. I have been using some rechargables and it seems to be using the same as my BD and better than my older Petzl. Light and just right!
  18. I was climbing out there mid-week, last week, and noticed a few newer climbs. Zonk, so you know anything about these?
  19. NEW BD Black Prophetbent shaft with (2) Alpine picks - $75 Fat Snargs (3) - nearly new - $8 each PM me or email teresa at Tokous . com
  20. It is true Amanita have been known to cause stomache issues with consuming small amounts. Psilocybin doesn't have quite that problem for most folks. All hullucingenic mushrooms are a form of poison. There were some great Chanterelles out past the slide at Ida Creek - yum!
  21. My Mythos go great! Second would be the color hooking with the accents on my Crispi teleboots - eat your heart out~
  22. Yep, according to the weather station on Tumwater Mtn.(4,278) it got down to 29 for several hours last night/this morning. There was a nice white glow to the peaks - hinting at a pinkish, mauve hue this morning!
  23. Howdy MtnClimbr, Looks like I will be out in Omak for only one day not two and it will be work, work, work until I leave around 4ish. So, perhaps in the next two weeks. I'll let you know what I hear from Sargent Rock. Drater the pics do look good.
  24. Having been to Bangadesh - I suppose I would have made a different choice on where I would live in exile
