Oh Toto are we in Spray not Cafe Sensitivioso! I have a great pair of lycra tights that look like some 5 year old went crazy with a box of crayola crayons. If only I had a camera I would be happy to model them for you Have to see if I can borrow one as they are classic.

Hey GZ, I am not sure if your thinking of a compression type of garment or not but many athletes use these. They come in knee high, thigh high and waist high garments for the lower extremities. Bike racers, runners, and other athletes use them for when they are traveling to promote blood circulation and prevent blood clots. If you are thinking of warmth, etc. then windbriefs are the ticket.
  3. Thanks for the TR and pics of one of my favorite areas. Oops...I am drooling!
  4. RuMR, Got any pics to go along with those thoughts??
  5. I purchased a TX1 last year and have been very happy with it. Used it alot for skiing last year and several recent early morning starts in the Alpine. I have been using some rechargables and it seems to be using the same as my BD and better than my older Petzl. Light and just right!
  6. I was climbing out there mid-week, last week, and noticed a few newer climbs. Zonk, so you know anything about these?
  7. It is true Amanita have been known to cause stomache issues with consuming small amounts. Psilocybin doesn't have quite that problem for most folks. All hullucingenic mushrooms are a form of poison. There were some great Chanterelles out past the slide at Ida Creek - yum!
  8. My Mythos go great! Second would be the color hooking with the accents on my Crispi teleboots - eat your heart out~
  9. Yep, according to the weather station on Tumwater Mtn.(4,278) it got down to 29 for several hours last night/this morning. There was a nice white glow to the peaks - hinting at a pinkish, mauve hue this morning!
  10. Howdy MtnClimbr, Looks like I will be out in Omak for only one day not two and it will be work, work, work until I leave around 4ish. So, perhaps in the next two weeks. I'll let you know what I hear from Sargent Rock. Drater the pics do look good.
  11. Having been to Bangadesh - I suppose I would have made a different choice on where I would live in exile
  12. Ivan, Love the pic of the chickenhead anchor - a classic!
  13. Starting their own drug cartel. Tvash starring in "Scarface"?!
  14. And farming what, may I ask?
  15. Eh - gads what is this world coming to....any CC.COM folks in that mix. MANITOBA HERALD, Canada Date: Tuesday, 14 Oct 2008 The flood of American liberals sneaking across the border into Canada has intensified in the past week, sparking calls for increased patrols to stop the illegal immigration. The possibility of a McCain/Palin election is prompting the exodus among left-leaning citizens who fear they'll soon be required to hunt, pray, and agree with Bill O'Reilly. Canadian border farmers say it's not uncommon to see dozens of sociology professors, animal rights activists and Unitarians crossing their fields at night. 'I went out to milk the cows the other day, and there was a Hollywood producer huddled in the barn,' said Manitoba farmer Red Greenfield, whose acreage borders North Dakota. The producer was cold, exhausted and hungry. He asked me if I could spare a latte and some free-range chicken. In an effort to stop the illegal aliens, Greenfield erected higher fences, but the liberals scaled them. So he tried installing speakers that blare Rush Limbaugh across the fields. 'Not real effective,' he said. 'The liberals still got through, and Rush annoyed the cows so much they wouldn't give milk.' Officials are particularly concerned about smugglers who meet liberals near the Canadian border, pack them into Volvo station wagons, drive them across the border and leave them to fend for themselves. 'A lot of these people are not prepared for rugged conditions,' an Ontario border patrolman said. 'I found one carload without a drop of drinking water.' They did have a nice little Napa Valley cabernet, though.' When liberals are caught, they're sent back across the border, often wailing loudly that they fear retribution from conservatives. Rumors have been circulating about the McCain administration establishing re-education camps in which liberals will be forced to shoot wolves from airplanes, deny evolution, and act out drills preparing them for the Rapture. In recent days, liberals have turned to sometimes-ingenious ways of crossing the border. Some have taken to posing as senior citizens on bus trips to buy cheap Canadian prescription drugs. After catching a half-dozen young vegans disguised in powdered wigs, Canadian immigration authorities began stopping buses and quizzing the supposed senior-citizen passengers on Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney hits to prove they were alive in the '50s. 'If they can't identify the accordion player on The Lawrence Welk Show, we get suspicious about their age,' an official said. Canadian citizens have complained that the illegal immigrants are creating an organic-broccoli shortage and renting all the good Susan Sarandon movies. 'I feel sorry for American liberals, but the Canadian economy just can't support them,' an Ottawa resident said. 'How many art history and English majors does one country need?'
  16. As a country we should be sure that we've heard all the important points and become educated about all the issues. Personally, I'm still undecided. There's alot of information/misinformation out there and can be challenging to sift through. I have to say that the more I have learned about the candidates the less I can truely say about how they will lead this country once elected. Anyone else?
  17. I think a comparison would be considerably more facile than a contrast. I find it rather ironic that many on this site unilaterally question the intelligence of those that disagree with you. The fact is that GWB as well as McCain are well above the average intelligence. All of the rumors about GWB have been debunked and you have little left but whitewashing epithets to fall back on. Intelligence does indeed have little to do with being a successful leader; and that is what a politician (especially a high ranking one) must be. I wont even bother challenging you to find the sources of the alleged intellectual incompetence on the behalf of GWB and McCain; it has been refuted a dz. times before and doing so again would achieve nothing. A blend of intelligence, common sense, and practicality would be refreshing.............oh, but that individual would be poo, pooed as simple!
  18. Oh, I thought you were talking about the yellow marshmellow chicks that you can buy at Easter...........but if you are up in Leavenworth I am getting back into doing more Alpine climbing and backcountry skiing(after some years of very little). PM me.
  19. Hey Drater, Looks like I will be in Omak for work on Thursday, possibly Friday for a day or just half a day...........would you be willing to show me this spot? I usually work in Omak once or twice a month.
  20. "Two Buck Chuck" or wine from the Charles Shaw Winery in CA! Can be found at Trader Joe's. Not bad and the price is right.....though it now costs more than two bucks.
  21. In the Leavenworth, Cashmere, Wenatchee area seems to be a mix of McCain/Obama. Eastern WA used to be a stronghold for the Republicans but not anymore!
  22. Hey Otto, What kind of hand drill - Petzl? Looks like alot of fun!
  23. Thanks guys! The precious little wooden sugar container is Homefires but she isn't anxious to have it back anytime soon. I did pick up the card table. Thanks Sobo for dropping off the airpots and table. Also, a round of applause to Porter and several others for putting the Ropeup together. Great beer and food on Saturday! Teresa
  24. Givler's is a great route for the girlfriend or boyfriend. It depends on previous experience of the "friend"!
