  1. as a teacher, i can honestly say, good for you! but, to kinda burst yer bubble, most liberal teachers don't give a shit what you think, and are stoked just to see you ACTUALLY THINKING Good to know that your learning to think in school!
  2. Wow, where are we Toto.....I thought we were in Spray Politics but somehow we ended up in Spray People Magazine . If I only had my Ruby Slippers!
  3. I try to lie, cheat, steal, or fornicate at least once a day, to stay in practice. Tvash, Glad to hear you are like the rest of us . Hope you didn't think I was trying to sell ya anything as I am not a Christian. I have beliefs, a belief system, morals, values, etc. that I try, but often fail, to live buy. Bon Chance!
  4. We, as humans, are faluable and therefore I know that anyone as a Christian, being human, will be prone to human "weaknesses". So, to say there are good examples out there is very true but to really get an idea of Christ or God seems, as with most beliefs, to come down to faith in what Christ or God stands for. No one can say, including you, that you are free of "issues" or offense to someone. We all have done something that is a "sin" - correct??
  5. I try never to denagrade anyone for their thoughts or beliefs whatever and however different they are from my own. As far as your quote "or in some cases lack of beliefs" isn't that a put down to folks who don't have the same beliefs as you?? If someone doesn't believe in your explanation of God then they don't have beliefs. Perhpas you would like to rephrase what you said so it doesn't "personally attack" others.
  6. Tvash, Your camera had a similiar fate to mine on Bonanza a few weeks ago. Though it was kind of having some issues prior to taking a plunge. Sounds like your really sprucing up the place - looking forward to the pics!
  7. Pics? or are you thinking IKEA boy may steal your idea!?

  12. That's EXACTLY what this country needs more of! I agree with you that we need more independent thinkers, however I don't believe he would have won re-election without support from the Republicans, so how independent can that be?! He still votes D on most issues and has been critical for them to maintain their slim majority. So much for the theory that the R's "bought" him. If you look at major bills he voted w/Republicans on Security and most war bills. He voted w/Democrates on most Abortion and some Agriculture bills. I just think he swings more to the Republicans side on issues that would represent a potential cabinet position: war or security.

  14. I welcome debate with serious dissenters who believe in our country and its system of government and wish to improve it. Your motives are not to improve this country, but overthrow our system of government, and abolish freedoms. In the Senate, Lieberman supported the Patriot Act and its renewal, and he's voted in favor of a measure to expand the government's domestic surveillance authority. 5K, is this a way of abolishing freedoms? You suggest Lieberman would be a fine addition to the cabinet - what!
  15. He is no longer a member of the Democratic party but an independent. He won with Republican support and funding. I don't think he follows either parties game plan - which if I were McCain says Maverick with a capital M. I think Lieberman's reasoning is faulty on wanting to invade Iran and his foreign and domestic policy is kind of scary.
  16. Are you serious? Gore-Lieberman was 8 short years ago. They lost to W in a bitterly-contested debate. And now Lieberman will likely be on the cabinet of the next R administration? Probably as Secretary of Defence or of State. 5K you would like to see Lieverman as Sect. of Defense/State! "Atop McCain’s short list, according to closely aligned Republican Senators and aides, likely would be two of the Arizonan’s most vocal supporters: Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) for attorney general or Sen. Joe Lieberman (ID-Conn.) as secretary of State, Defense or Homeland Security. Graham and Lieberman have been stumping for McCain for months and are considered two of the most loyal and ardent backers of his Iraq War policy." Lieberman remains one of the most ardently supportive voices for President Bush's war effort in the Senate, and he has suggested expanding the war from Iraq to Iran. In the Senate, Lieberman supported the Patriot Act and its renewal, and he's voted in favor of a measure to expand the government's domestic surveillance authority. He also has defended waterboarding as a legitimate interrogation tool in certain instances; on this issue he is at odds with McCain, who considers the tactic torture. Is he your type of guy?? A real maverick's choice!
  17. Ah, passing our "wealth" to future generations! Yeah, vote for Obama - so he can spend even MORE of our kids' money, while f-ing up the rest of the country. why gamble on Obama...go with the party GUARANTEED to fuck shit up. You know...the party that is going to restore honor and dignity to the Whitehouse? Guess if you have alot of $$ invested in oil stocks for your kid's college fund then you'll be "looking good".
  18. Yes, and McCain has repeatedly gone against his own party and pissed off the establishment. That's why he got screwed in his Presidential aspirations in 2000. He's a maverick to the core and will shake up the status quo for the next 4 years. Okay, if he is a maverick to the core - who would he be picking for his cabinet? It is not just McCain you are voting for but the whole republican ball of wax! Lieberman will be in his cabinet. You know, the guy who was on the DEMOCRATIC ticket 8 short years ago. No significance there at all. Believe he was reelected in 2006 as an independent: 2/3 Republican and 1/3 democrate. This after loosing the primary to Democrat Ned Lamont. He had great assistance from the governor and the Bush whitehouse. So, what is the significance??
  19. Ah, passing our "wealth" to future generations!

  21. 5K, Lest we forget: Actions speak louder than words, or labels that are attatched to a person :kisss:
  22. ILS, So, how do you guesstimate bodyfat at 6%? Callipers? Water displacement? How often?
  23. Okay, enough political wrangling! 133.5 lbs today - lack of icecream and frenchfries in my diet. My scale says 17% bodyfat but hydration makes a difference.
  24. Perspective is the name of the game when it comes to history. Example: Go to Japan and read some of their text books of WWII and how they were fighting imperialistic powers who were bent on destroying Japanese society. How the Japanese were trying to save the Koreans and "help them" escape from the murderous Americans. None of the atrocities committed by the Japanese are mentioned. It is a part of that freedom that we can freely discuss all these individual perspectives. Only how much reliable information do we get from our media??
  25. Muscle Energy Technique and Active Release Technique may work but what layton mentioned may work a bit better depending on your specific circumstances. The Graston Technique is similiar in practice to Gua Sha used for many hundreds of years in Chinese practice. It is frequently used in scar tissue release and to breakup the tissue. I had over 14 treatments last year for my left wrist, thumb, and elbow for breaking up scar tissue. Hurts but hurts so good! Emu oil or coconut oil are often used in this technique. There are some specific instruments that go with the seminar but you can also purchase a Chinese style soup spoon that will nearly do the same thing. Hope you find something that works!
