  1. There are lots of crusty old sprayers here that would have been good at mocking students.
  2. When I saw the thread title, I thought maybe one of these was spotted...
  3. What? I've studded for 4 hours. 8D
  4. I have stayed at Arizona Charlie's just off Charleston Blvd. Close to climbing and good value (imo)...I remember paying $35-50 mid week, more on weekends. Black Orpheus is soft for its grade, and I found it less crowded than the popular routes (probably the longer approach, but worth it). The crux is 1 move, well protected, a few moves up from the belay (though you'll swing a bit if you blow it). Its a big day though so start early and move fast. +1 on Olive Oil...just for the splitter crack pitch alone (can be done in 1 pitch w a 60m rope if you streeeeetch it out....i think we had to simul climb 5 feet or so to do it. Geronimo is also a great climb - steep and juggy, excellent value for the grade. First two pitches are the best.
  5. So you decided to stay home and spray?
  6. Kev has many guitar worshiping wanking threads. And also the Fathers thread. He pulls his weight around here.
  7. This is the ad. I get it frequently. You need to scroll all the way down. It appears to be not a joke.
  8. Best quote from that thread:
  9. I know two or three people who troll the "free" section of craigslist for stuff they can repost for sale. Whats your point Rob?

  17. Ditto. I have many conversations like this w my 3 yo son now: Boy: Daddy, I have to peeeeeee! Me: Ok, lets go to the bathroom Boy: No, I want to pee outsiiiiiiiiide!! Me: Ok, lets go to the back yard
  18. Not sure about the US and A, but in Canada there is a clear difference between fiscal and social conservatives. This is what you are getting confused over. A big part of liberal campaign propaganda in Canada is trying to convince the public that fiscal conservatives ARE social conservatives. And the truth is it can be hard to tell since a grass-roots party with strong social conservative roots (Reform/Alliance) merged with the fiscally conservative Conservative Party. This is what allowed them to finally defeat the Liberal government which stood for over a decade. That notwithstanding, the Conservative Party seems to be sticking to fiscal conservatism for now. Trying to push a social conservative agenda in Canada at this time would be political suicide imo.

  23. Thanks for posting up a trip report, Kevino. It was great climbing with you on a classic route. For all you peeps out there, Kevino is a great climbing partner: Fit, competent, laid back and gracious (i.e. didn't complain once about having to wait for my fat ass to catch up to him on the trail). Next time he is looking for a partner, hook him up!
