Reminds me of a poem written by my partner's 90 yr old mother(a former pilot and mountain climber):
"This very place, arrived at by another trail--
why, it wouldn't be the same at all!"
Well done!
We must have had a 60m when we did it last year then, too. I'd like to get on that one again sometime soon(I'll pack the 70m this time.) Thanks for bringing it up.
Nice one! Not many folks seem to do Ground Hog Day, but it's definitely a fun, cruisey route. Did you rap with a 70m? If I remember correctly, even with a 70m, you're still short from reaching that one anchor.
That's a proud follow! Well done.
My first two times on BoC were ugly, so I was stoked to follow that one with no takes or falls last time.
But I rested on the tree once.
Lately I've been doing the traverse with hands for most of the way across, then manteling up near the corner. First time, I tried it by manteling up at the beginning and walking it, but that felt less secure to me--like my center of gravity was being pushed out from the wall.
