  1. Hard to know exactly what you are looking for, but I'd guess he'd meet your bar in certain areas. "If I'm not bruised and bloodied, you're not done." Arch
  2. AE - is Lakemont or Issaquah over the top for you....lots of townhomes and small single family in that range there....3 - 5 miles on I-90. Most assuredly the burbs though.
  3. Second that bro - I have disability insurance but couldn't live on 60% of my salary very easily
  4. took a knife to a gun fight
  5. I am not sure I understand the question. For most women, childbirth will be the single most dangerous thing they do during their lives. And to top that off, things like vaginal tears occur in many cases and need to be taken care of...... Even the best insurance doesn't cover the $300-$500 the Dad has to slip the OB-GYN for that "extra stitch" - I think the doc will do this for free out of pity for any guy with a dick small enough to need this. uncle
  6. pretty much a perfect fit for a dude of that description - though he'll probably need to rap a real short section or two on the way back down (or i guess you could just lower him) Another vote for the South Arete
  7. I've devised a quantized scale for counting humans based on intelligence. You measure i This is meaningless without a second data point for relative scale. What is Kevboner?
  8. Massachussets = $325 billion Canada = $1 trillion as Jim mentioned, cost person/etc would be relevant measures of efficiency Do French Canadians count as full persons?
  9. Massachussets = $325 billion Canada = $1 trillion I was actually joking...but this is interesting. Now if you subtracted CN GDP associated with natural resource exports.....
  10. IMO - if you are willing to haul 10 lbs. of camera equipment up a route like that, you can put anything you want on the photos that result Not sure who "fixed pin on left" is though
  11. This may be a step in the right direction - we'll have to wait and see. But currently the amount of people who work for Blue Cross of Mass. is close to the amount of admin staff for the entire Canadian Health Care System. I don't see this effort doing anything much to bring down health care costs with the rest of the industrialized world. It has other economic effects - besides years of making shitty cars US auto makers have had to deal with the cost of health care built into their product, Japan does not. Check with Dru, but I think the state of Massachusetts and Canada have roughly the same GDP, so this doesn't sound out of line.

  13. If it were just me it wouldn't be much to talk about. With almost 50 million people in the same situation it becomes a political and I dare say ethical/moral issue. Not from where I was sitting. Oh I thought you prefaced you post with "My Choices" - My bad
  14. Me and the other 47 million people. In my case, fuck , you kill one partner for snoring and it follows you for life. Whats a guy to do? 47 Million people? I thought we were talking about you? Killing the partner sounds like a choice as well.
  15. My choices at this point: A) Go into deep debt by paying $250 per month for health insurance that would likely cover only 80% of major medical costs.. should something big happen. B) Go into deep debt (probably for life) by not paying $250 per month for health insurance that would likely cover only 80% of major medical costs.. should something big happen. C) Hope that.. nothing big happens.. til Im too old to give a fuck about things like debt. not much "control" there. D) Get a job with benefits E) Get a better job with better benefits
  16. MM has been quoted as saying that he "doesn't own stock in any corporation", but interesting that not only does he have quite a stock portfolio, he owns stock in Haliburton.
  17. Quite a Father's Day gift for you, potentially. Missed it by 21 hours!!!
  18. Nope... you got it wrong Grew up lower-midde class in california/olympia Could have gotten in to any university in Washington Has never taken a class in Huxley College Is not blasting bellevue roots, but is critique a lifestyle that seem to overly value cars/money/materialism nice try! See Logical Fallacies.. "Ad Hominem" Blake - I dont think "lifestyle that seem to overly value cars/money/materialism" is a Bellevue phenomenon - more of a US phenomenon. It's quite common in every major urban area on the east/west coasts and throughout the south. Go to Dallas/Atlanta/LA/SF....as see what I mean.
  19. i'm just sick of snivelling, 19-year-old twats who think suburbia sucks because it doesn't appeal to their superficial, lame, narcissistic, single, partying lifestyle. Hope you don't think that's why i hate it. I personally am sick of the SUVs, un-biker friendly roads, over consumption, shopping malls, gigantic houses, and people thinking that getting rich, where you go to college, and what job you land is all there is to life. I've lived in Dallas...my wife's from the Bay Area....go spend a couple years in CA or Dallas, and then see if you still feel like complaining.
  20. time will tell!
  21. My son is negative 2 days
  22. had this boot for one season....wore through the liner on the heal after less than a year with not many trips....took it back. Also, the metal cleat on the bottom (for the crampon) was unnerving when the ball of the foot contacted rock evenly and skidded.

    The insult thread

You mean slow and methodical? Kevboner has slightly more cerebral matter than I was thinking he had. He is now upgraded from a class 1 mutant to a class 2. Although his powers are highly erratic and temperature dependent (after-all, he is a reptile) scientists are flabbergasted by the degree of function he able to produce with only 1/6 of a frontal cortex. This would imply that having his head up his own ass would make him smarter, right?
  24. I use "Sole" and prefer them to superfeet.....higher arch than SF, and more cushion. They are also "heat moldable", but I think it's more of a marketing gimmic than anything. I didn't notice much difference after heating them up. If they are good enough for Viesturs, they are good enough for me. Of course I haven't picked up a Jansport pack
  25. My theory....they are listed oldest to youngest, and the parents read freakonomics after Latawnya.
