Wanna help me fight crime instead?

One time I went climbing with this liberal. All he did was bitch and moan all day about how hard the rock was, how unfair it was that the cracks were too big or too small for his fingers and hands, how the rock was too steep, and what an injustice it was. He said we needed the access fund and the AAC to step in and do some work to make all routes climbable for everyone. He said we needed bolts placed everywhere, so that 5.6 climbers could climb 5.12 also, it was only fair. What a fucking pussy. Then I went climbing with this conservative guy. So he climbs up this crack like a madman- trouble is, there's another guy already on the route. He gets up behind him, pulls the guy off and causes him to fall. He puts his shoe right in the guy's face- kinda like that Santa Claus scene in "A Christmas Story"- and says something like "too bad for you, sucker"- and gives him a gentle nudge while at the same time cutting the guy's rope, causing him a fatal plummet to the ground. He continues up to the anchors, clips in, and starts shouting all sorts of platitudes about how accomplished he is and that "if he could do it, anyone can". I ask him for a belay, and he says, "fuck off and climb it yourself, you lazy piece of shit. Nothing comes for free so stop looking for a handout. BUM!" What an asshole. I'm climbing with Independents next time.

I think it is fair to say that the democrats are just as desperate to gain power as the republicans are to keep that which they currently have. Therefore, the motives and rhetoric from both sides should be subject to heavy skepticism. To be fair though, is there any difference of a fear campaign between the democrats approach versus the White House painting those opposed to the programs as "unpatriotic"? I have to lean towards opposition not so much to the program as to how it is being implemented and the attitudes of who is doing so- which would seem to place me in with the democrats. However, I'm less in line with their party line as I'm simply demanding that regardless of who implements the program, that it not be instituted completely lacking in oversight by someone other than our so-called trusted leaders. The actions of both parties over the past 20 years make me not trust either one of them.

I'm very disappointed that you two are shitting all over this thread about His Holiness. I remind you to observe your thoughts and allow them to pass on by.

Shouldn't you get back to the things you love most- anal sex, abortions, and cheating the welfare system?

A late Canadian climber once referred to an off width he climbed thusly: "I felt like an ant trying to rape an elephant".

The government propaganda line tells supporters of these programs that those who oppose them do so because they are concerned about the rights of terrorists, when in fact the issue I think for those opposed is generally rooted in a concern for the longterm potential for this to morph into an abuse of power- if not by this administration, the next one, or the one after that. I'm actually all in support of wiretapping phone calls from terrorists- who wouldn't be? (and of course I do this stuff all the time in the pursuit of justice )- but when the government is undertaking this from the standpoint of "give us unchecked power and trust us"- especially at a time when the division in the country has become so harsh- can you blame people for feeling uneasy about this? Isn't a general mistrust of government omniscience a stalwart conservative value? I know it is one of mine. No one is Above the Law.

Just because I'm an action hero, a badass, and a fine looking fellow, doesn't mean I can't have a great worldview also. These creeps think they're Above the Law. I'm going to show them the light.

Perhaps the democrats believe it will be easier to expose scandals when the current government propaganda machine has been neutered and a balance in power in the government has been restored. At the moment, anything critical of government policy is immediately and aggressively dismissed as "liberal hysteria", "sour grapes", and "anti-American rhetoric". It would also be political suicide to pursue scandals just before elections, wouldn't it? If the dems did that, you don't suppose the Republican reaction would be to accuse them of playing politics in an election year? At the moment, the democrats best move will be to simply be quiet and allow the Republicans to hang themselves with their own threadbare accusations of anti-Americanism, et.al, coupled with the shortcomings of their policies. It would also be a great help if the Democrats would, for the first time, start elaborating to the public exactly HOW they intend to do a better job than the current administration - or do they even have a plan?-- and knock off the pessimism and whining. American voters respond to optimism, which is why Clinton and Reagan got 2 terms.

That pic makes labia slam shut out of sheer reflex. And now for the opposite effect:

That's because beggars can't be choosers. Wasn't stamina and skills, not size, the issue? Oh never mind, this might also be out of your "grasp".

Actually, small dicks are merely RuMR's.

You need to refine your tastes, ma'am. Perhaps I can change your mind over dinner. Do you like Italian?

We're not interested in that spooge couch.

Self abuse always begins with jakov.

This one gets 'em every time: You fuck with my family- and you DIE.
-
Then we would all have to imagine jakov.

And if any of you newbies need some justice, talk to me first. There's a lot of people here who think they're Above the Law. I got news for you- they aren't.
-
... Could this be more ironic?

See what I mean? Short term memory loss. Probably better that way.

Ever since I joined this site, I've been Under Siege and Marked for Death. I've offered nuggets of Zen wisdom to all, only to be disrespected time and time again. I've offered to sing songs- alas, no takers. No respect. I just get shit. But do I complain? No. I'm Hard to Kill. I hold my head high in the knowledge that I can kick the crap out of anyone who tries to be Above the Law. I know that in being Out for Justice, I can bask in the inner glow that I'm on the pure path and making this a better place. Just look what happened to kevbone after I clotheslined him.
-
When kevbone adds a bolt to someone else's route, and no one is there to see it, does it make a sound?

Think again: Tune in for the Six o'Clock Newspeak
