Anybody wear Five-Ten hikers? Thinking about the Exum Guide or Camp Four approach shoe with sticky rubber for 1-3 day trips, scramble and low 5 stuff. How do they work with aluminum crampons? Might go try a pair on at Pro Mountain.
My last time on Rainier was 2 years ago last week in May and we saw some groups heading for Gib ledges. We went Ingraham Direct. Ya never can predict the route conditions till you get on the mountain. The rangers can give you a report when you get the permit. And if you see a ranger at Muir they know for sure.
Looking good guys. Here's a pic of Pan Dome I took today as we were heading back. Don't know who this was but he cruised it. We climbed some of the short pitches to the right.
Take a trip to Vancouver to Capilano Park and check out the bridges that span big douglas fir trees. It's a fun place if a bit touristy. Probably cost a lot of coin to build. Sounds like fun.
