I think you're missing a couple of options on your poll. I personally don't like spray on TR. But I do like the insanity that this place seems to dredge up on random posts. Spray or not. I laugh my ass off most of the time when I'm here. To really answer this question, look at the number of people that come here for answers...real or otherwise. There is real beta to be had here. Which mill did you end up with Chirp? The "Vic Firth Gourmet 'Lock and Grind,'" the Mario Batali Signature Series, the 'Pump and Grind' or some custom made job? I'm sick of the mills I've been using. They always unscrew at the bottom or fall apart somehow.

I'm not sure if "and the like" include the hardened mineral technology that Julbo has. But it's good and works very well. They also have some very interesting new glasses the I saw at OR today. They make some great glasses IMO. It seems weird to "hate" something like polycarbonates. Some people find some of the good polycarbonate material used in sunglasses quite useful and effective. Some even love it. Save hate for things that are worth hating; child molesters, suicide bombers, people that rape disabled women. Those things are worth hating.

Most of that road sand is recycled, as in swept up from previous dumps and screened, which small pieces of glass can go right through. I 2nd (or 3rd) the small pesky glass or in my case, tiny blackberry thorn, as being the problem.
