  1. Sounds good!
  2. I had this same issue and it was recommended that I cut a notch out on the tail. I was really reluctant to do this. I ended up putting about 3-4 layers of duct tape right where the clip is so it kind of digs in to the tape. So far it's worked great.
  3. You do have a good point about the roads FW. I just think that the amount of work, study and bi-partisan approach this legislation underwent, it deserves passage. Opposing this bill does nothing for either cause.
  4. I find this news in The Oregonian particularly aggravating due to the amount of hard work put in by both Oregon senators (particularly Wyden). They took their time to make sure everyone was satisfied with the legislation only to have it derailed at the 11th hour by Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma. And for what appears to be no apparent reason. Well, I sent the good Doctor a letter expressing my displeasure. It would be great if others did as well.
  5. I'm sure Arc has already done it.

  7. Wipe from front to back.
  8. Snowboarding is a gateway drug. It'll only deteriorate from here.
  9. I think getting permission is the best course of action.
  10. Grow some of your own veggies. Buy the rest at produce stands. Buy meat in bulk directly from the farmer. Shop at TJ's. Make your own bread. Quit drinking. Avoid processed foods. You've just cut your food bill to a quarter of what it was. Quit drinking.

Over the fence or through the gate?
  12. Rocky Joe, I agree with Ivan, not only is that a long day, but why do it twice like that? If it were me, and it may be me this year, I would start at Pole Creek TH and do North, Middle, South, Broken Top and if you're crazy, like like these cats , Bachelor. Then car shuttle back to Pole Creek. They did it in 15 hrs. That would be a little fast for me though.
  13. Oregon Mountain Community does (or did very recently).

Also Crash the Paul Haggins version is really good. And this Crash from 1996 is good too. Although definitely a bit on the dark and twisted side.

I second Gummo. It's definitely an acquired taste but good nonetheless. Something on the more emotional side, Antoine Fisher is excellent.
  16. I have a friend that would be interested in that. He collects (or he at least said he collects old electronics like that at the Christmas party were at). But he showed me his Marantz receiver from 1970(?) in his retro living room that he originally took to a cat he found on the internet in Seattle that refurbishes old electronics like that. Seems all the rage in some circles.
  17. 1927 GM Frigidaire Refrigerator that is in good condition. Evidently, we don't "drink like we used to" so it's time for it to go. It's been in my family since 1972 and has been cared for, in an almost sacred way, ever since. About 20 years ago my brother and I decided that it would make a better place to store a keg than it would meat, cheese and produce. It needed a tap. So we drilled a hole in the door and fitted it with a tap adapter to which we affixed many incredibly beautiful, artisitc pulls with which to draw our brew. This modification of course (at least I think) would preclude any collectors from buying this, but it's that type of fridge. The details: It's small so it only fits a pony (1/4 barrel). Or it holds a ton of cans/bottles of your favorite brew. It's old so it's a little thrashed, and could be painted, but the integrity remains intact 100%. It's also very clean. I'm anal about stuff like this. It operates fine other than the thermostat. It gets cold. Not a problem for a keg, but after a few days cans and bottles will freeze. It either needs replacing or it needs some adjustment by someone that knows this stuff. I'm asking $100 only because they are for sale elsewhere for anywhere from $250-750. I wouldn't be selling it other than I could use the space in my garage. And because "we don't drink like we used to." If you can convince me that $100 is too high feel free. But I'm not going to give it away. Out of principle of course. I'll post some pictures if necessary, or just PM me and I'll email them to you. A Portland pick-up would also be nice.
  18. I say pull the tampon out, take a swig and join us for the one-day. It makes for a better story.
  19. This record won't stand. DH has been all over this. It's as good as beat.
  20. +1
  21. Perhaps they opposed it to get re-elected, but in actuality, believe that(and think it's not a violation of the Constitution) what the president is doing is right. Just a thought.
  22. I'm looking forward to having Mad Men and Curb your Enthusiasm back on.
  23. This is great news. Nice to see the interest. Norman_Clyde pm'd me a few months ago and expressed some interest in this form of abuse. It would be great as we get closer to this time frame to try and pull something together. It would be great to finally meet you guys as well. Here is a good site for general info on other trips similar to this, but the site forwards you here for a trip that some guys took around Adams in 2001. I'd certainly like to try it in one day, but if the consensus is two-days then I'd be cool with that.
  24. Did you find that at ladyboy.com? That's terrific. Good find.
  25. Love is easy. It's the restraining order that gets in the way.
