  1. I remember reading, I think it was in Roper's Camp 4 book, how in the 70's it was fashionable when portaledging on El Cap to have everybody and everything tied into like one shady blade or micronut but then back it all up off a bomber anchor. Perhaps we should all try this just to see what holds and what doesn't.
  2. I think they should let lions, wolves, grizzlies, and elephants roam the streets of Seattle. And killing one with a firearm would be punishable by death.
  3. I don't think this is likely. You would "discover" this mistake as soon as you put weight on the rope. Emily completed the first 10-15 feet of the rappel in full sight of her partner and nothing was noted out of the ordinary. I glanced up and saw her twice as she was coming down - didn't note anything unusual. Let's wait for the final report........... Ok. Sorry for the conjecture. As I understood it, that is what happened in the Snow Creek incident and Montypiton posted that the same thing happened here.

  5. Nice. We were in there a couple weeks ago. The line you did may be the same as or at least share quite a bit of a route done by Dan Capellini and Erik Snyder a couple years ago.
  6. As has been said here before, with enough speculation, the truth will come out.
  7. The climber campground has character and you can stay only for a couple hours if you want.
  8. If in Seattle go to Ramudas not Page's.
  9. That's the worst analogy ever, Dru. Hookers get paid way more.
  10. Likewise for Vancouver.
  11. I think the climber only put one rope through the belay device and rappel carabiner.
  12. Looks like there's a "homely chearleader" virus running rampant in Chilliwack as well.
  13. Pope and Dwayner
  14. I hope Tyson took them to McDonalds!
  15. Sure there is. Probably not too many in Canada though.
  16. That would be cool, he could give me some tips on how to properly cut the sleeves off my sweatshirts.
  17. I thought this thread was going to be about which parking lots are best to hackey-sack and drink beer and generally loiter in.
  18. Mazama. Not winthrop. Damn dude, you're 0 for 2.
  19. NW Face is fun route. Nice Jorb!!
  20. Only you elitist cc.com types would bring beer to Mt. Goode.
  21. Was that before or after Cottman called Layton a "fucking moron"?
  22. Who needs a rack for Mt. Goode?
  23. Oops. My bad. Its been a while since I climbed those.
  24. Go to Bridge Creek trail and hike south east.
  25. Coincidence that Herr could climb like two grades harder after his injury? Maybe. Maybe he was just more motivated.
