SUPER SLAB has the best belay ledge Off_White has reserved Super Slab for Saturday Mernin You'll have to race past us or knock him off that big belay ledge. Does it really have a big belay ledge? So find a different ride. I've got room in my car. I'm leaving Thursday and coming back Sunday. Where do you climb at? Is the foot healed? Are you a 10c kind of girl, or a more moderate 7 or 8? From what I understand, and I could be totally wrong, most routes at Smith are sandbagged. I'm wondering the same thing. Off_White is taking me up the 'slabs' on Saturday morning, and thats rated 5.6 ish I believe. Let me now what you find out

Saturday: drove up to the North Cascades Pass and hiked around. Sunday: Hiked around Erie looking for those new routes w/ Rodeo, Blake, and Stavogrin (who didn't hike as much.) Climbed a bit. Hiked more. Had a nice discussion with Dallas Kloke. Thanked him for the routes.

probably not..I thought about it after I posted it. THe ferry guys wouldn't be able to make it either and I like seeing them. Hmmm. How about the Pyramid Pub near Safeco? Is there a game? What are the chances of getting information on where they have searched and where there might be reason to search some more? Perhaps some of us with a need to just get out and hike could use the info to informally continue the search. Hey Bug, we gave a couple of the Rescue Workers a ride back to their car last weekend when we were there for the ropeup, and they said this guys kids wouldn't even climb with him because he makes it a habit of getting lost. If you guys are heading up to help and want some company, I've got 4 weeks of PTO time to kill by the end of the year. Let me know! I'd love ot help out. I sure hope they find em...all of them that are lost, I mean

We'll buy a guide book. I think I'd like to do Zig Zag for starters (its trad innit?) and maybe some others on Snag Buttress and then head back up to Powerline around 1ish to meet the Pt. Townsend gang. If we like Snag, we can hope for cell phone coverage and call em. I'm not a strong climber, I can follow up to 5.9, depending on the moves, so my opinion doesn't count as much as the majority. I'm happy doing some easier stuff and being a belay slave/gaper as well. I'm a beginner and I did it as my first multipitch trad! I cursed up a storm that first pitch but the second was like a long extended O I was smiling as I came up to the top, ready to kill my leader

Thats awesome! Thank You guys for doing this! As I become a better climber, I will start to give back as well. Right now, I have to limit myself to trail repair with the WTA....but it still helps.
