Oh and most importantly... Whoever has the biggest stash of whiskey! Oh and Happy B-Day Sobo!

damn, finally got an honorable mention at least As for my list ..... All the U of I folks so Archie and Feck to start with definitely Muffy as I've decided she and Mrs. Selkirk are too damn close to being twins Would love to climb with JosephH sometime, if for nothing else to learn to the art of the crack-n-up. Would also like to meet Sherri, OW, RuMr (if only to verify his height to weight ratio), Latyon, KKK, TTK, Sobo, Bug and must not forget the infamous DFA. I suppose I should probably just show up at a pubclub sometime.

Lots of words have come to connotate things different then their dictionary definition, and "Diet" is one of them. The language we use has power to shape our perceptions and our responses. To say diet to a nutritionist is one thing. To say diet to someone has very fundamental issues with food is completely different. . . . Nevermind, Muffy beat me to the smack down.

Bill you totaly RULE!!! let me know how the Zone thing works.... maybe i can try it a little bit if it isn't too bad. the issue that i have with dieting is that it often triggers an anorexic episode for me. I have them when i am MAJORLY stressed out too. then i lose way too much weight and can't eat... *sigh* who knew happy medium would be such a challenge Only the Taoists and Buddhists Dieting is bad though, implies a short term I want to loose X lbs thing and that never does any good. I think everyone on here is more talking a lifestyle change. One day at a time! How's it going so far Muffy?

So the follow on, is any size suggestions? The T2's are a shell size 8/9 (English) , but a perfect liner size for me is a 27.5 which seems right between a 9 and 10 American size. Any idea of the size 10 morrow will fit into shell size 8/9 T2's, and then fill in a bit with thermofitting, or should I go down a size? Thanks in Advance!

I'll put in a good word for "How to Climb 5.12" though I don't climb 5.12 yet primarily because I'm a lazy ass Oh, and what level are you climbing at? Going from 5.8 to 5.10 is a bit of a different beast than going from 5.10 to 5.12.

So I just picked up a set of T2's and am looking to upgrade the liners with thermo-fits. There are some damn cheap ones at Linky Linky Two questions, does anyone have an idea what size a mondo point 27.5 would convert to for american sizing? (The liners are listed as 9 and 10) Or with the thermo-fit does it make a difference? (I have some Mondo 27 liners currently that are a bit small) And second, does anyone have any thoughts on adding a power strap to a set of liners without one? Good idea, bad idea, tough to do well, or is at breeze? TIA! Does anyone have any opinions on adding power straps to these, or a similar liner?

Is there anything boot specific about the liners? I just picked up an old set of Scarpa T-2's to learn to Tele in and the liners are pretty packed out. Will the Morrow's work for these or should dig up something else? TIA

I talked to the Petzl gear rep about wear on the Reverso and the sharp edge were all familiar with. He said they actually did some testing catching hard falls (Factor 1) on a reverso with a sharp edge and saw no noticeable sheath damage. It still makes me damn nervous. I do like the little clip a biner in and use it as a handle trick though

Rep night, raffle, fund raiser, skills comp

I thought the raffle numbers were just fine -
Just picked up a bottle of RedBreast 12 and a little bottle of Makers Mark Saw the Bushmills Black Bush though, might have to try that next.

Can we give Texas back to Mexico while were at it?

Are you sure they're caloric intake relative to caloric consumption didn't go up though? We do have an awfully lazy society and hard physical labor isn't really required to stay alive anymore. Not to mention being cold burns a lot of calories.

It's not the drink, it's the weight! A bottle of wine weighs too much to hump up an alpine approach/climb and I never feel good enough to truly enjoy it in that environment. Not to mention that every time I bring tasty chocolate climbing it either melts or I forget about it Now for a little in bounds skiing!!! Weight's not an issue and the truffles stay cold Besides, falling hurts less when your a little tipsy! It's all about the boneless jellyfish impact with the ground.

As for fave's Gin and tonics Whiskey neat or only slightly watered and this time of year spiced Wine Brandy and Tea Summer: Margarita's, but none of this mango/peach shit. Straight lime, huckleberry from the mountains, or fresh rasberries from the garden. Minimum 1/4 cup tequila per pitcher.

mmmmm, have a bottle of Drambuie in my basement that I think needs some company. If you want to talk dangerous shit, then it's all about the Ouzo, that always seems to end up The only test I ever took hungover was due to a combination of Sake and Ouzo Not my smartest nite....

No, no. That's for skiing not alpine.

Great shindig guys

Tequila and lime packs in quite nicely as well.
