I wouldn't go that far. I think some people work on there marraiages, and I think it greatly increases the chances of having a good one. It sounds like whats-her-bucket has always been about the initial thrill but isn't very good at the maintenance part.

Yeah, grim for you b/c as we women start making the money we need for our own financial security, we can do as we wish. And like the lady in the artical makes clear, sexual satisfaction is important to us. So some guys may find themselves in the same boat we used to be in-- "put up or shut up" Last year was the first year I actually made more than Mrs. Selkirk, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't the big bucks I was raking in as a grad student that kept her around

"'Go and work at your marriage.' But I didn't want to work on mine." There's her biggest problem.

Heard some telephone survey on the radio that something like 50% of British women would leave they're husbands if they could be guaranteed financial security. The two paint kind of a grim picture

Isn't it obvious that they're born with a fixed amount of pigment?

Dry tooling in the daylight is aid. It's best done by headlamp and in the rain. Great place to spend a few hours -
It's amazing how well kid's bounce. I was dropped on my head at least 3 good times as a child, and grew up to be a climber

there is still an open question here. Radios or cell phones? does anyone know if all ski areas have cell phone service? If you get some of the mid-range radios I think they have up to a 5 mile range, but they also have a privacy code setting in addition to the usual 10 channels or so, which really cuts down the chatter from other radios in the area. The only issue I see is that they may not reach over the ridge line (front side of Stevens to back side) where a cell phone with coverage would. That said the radios will work anywhere regardless of coverage.

Where and When?

No kids of my own, but I know at various times growing up my sister got left briefly at a gas station, I wandered off at the state fair (and before they had too much time to freak they were paged over the intercom to come pick me up), and my sister thought it would be fun to spend an hour playing hide and seek in Glacier National Park restaurant coat closet

Any recent info from the Leavenworth area?

One of the few compliments but so and so could, or did "turn a sow's ear into a silk purse"

"Even a blind pig finds an acorn once in a while" I've always been partial to "You should never wrestle with a pig. You get muddy and the pig likes it"

Tie between 2 pitches for me this year! Managed to get Stems and Seeds clean for my first 11 gear lead! and got on Wartley's Revenge, for my first onsight attempt at 11 on gear :) (didn't get it clean but damn what a climb! Next spring here I come!)

I have the same jacket in blue (Gore Tex pro-shell sample) and love it! Great piece of gear.

Does Revivex actually restore water repellency or is it just a cleaner like Tech Wash?

It's little crag Alex developed off of SR900 in Issaquah

Weekend Climber and I got out over the weekend and scratched the rock up a little more. The four anchors and the lead bolts are in good shape. Mostly top roping but I finally jumped on the right hand route to give it a go on lead. Nice job on the bolt spacing Alex They were right where I wanted them

I costs a heck of a lot less to care for a 5 year old than a 85 year old.

Anybody interested? Weather permitting of course. I'm thinking a 1/2 day either Sat or Sun. morning. E38, Issaquah, or even Stone Gardens, though I'd like to get on crampons as well as tools p.s. First timers welcome, you just need to be able to belay. I've got spare crampons and tools.

Been lucky enough to avoid arthritis so far but Mrs. Selkirk has psoriasis, and I have Eczema, though neither of them are severe thank god. Awful obnoxious shit though And of course ever since we got wonder dog, mine's been worse. It's OK if I stay on top of it, but it sure doesn't like dishes, climbing chalk, or wet hands. That's sounds like ugly stuff Muffy! Don't let it stop you though. You might give Archie a jingle, as memory serves she's been fighting arthritis for a number of years a well. You can certainly add my name to the list of people pulling for you though
