Why in god's name would anyone ever do this? That's like practicing root canals on yourself!
-
You realize of course that Porter is on crutches........
-
Mostly that I'm a hermit Will be climbing in the sunshine at Vantage, teaching a couple of newbies who just moved to the area though So if you see me with an assortment of 3 or 4 chicks wave hello

So true! And this is directly affected by the man's ability to simply do his chores without being asked. :LMAO: So, does it go both ways??? Why yes, I do go both ways. Does that help? Not really, as men we were hoping that it was one sided so we could scream discrimination, and pout on the couch with beer and football

It may be a bit cliched but Prometheus is always good. Especially when you remember what his punishment was

Would be interesting to see this all the statistics broken down by age/generation..... (say currently over 45 vs under 30). It was my impression that the 70's/80's/90's were quite bad from a divorce rate perspective, but the current people entering their first marriages are the kids of those broken homes. I know for me it made me quite gun shy.
-
Why in the world would you marry someone like that? That is in no way caused by marriage. It's all about the 2 people involved, and some people just shouldn't be inflicted on others.

Because people on the whole suck ass! Individuals though (dogs and people) are often pretty cool People who don't pick up they're dogs poop But they're not fundamentally any different than the people who leave beer cans and glass bottles as trash Oh, and I like seeing friendly dogs at the crag

Just got back from my Grandparents 50th My other grandparents had they're 50th earlier this year That said my parents are divorced... Personally I think they got married too young. They've both effectively too much like they're respective parents to some degree. Mrs. Selkirk and I waited quite a while, as did my Sister and brother in law, and I think it was a good thing. CBS is right though, definitely something to think long and hard about, but definitely worth it if your up for it. Whatever you do though make sure neither you nor your fiance believe in that happily ever after shit!!! While it can be fantastic and worth every moment and sacrifice, it's a job and compromise.

Just get something tight and slip lasted They'll stretch after a bit and fit both feet like a glove.

Note to self: Always bring dog climbing. Very effective in keeping away obnoxious people.

I thought you were a sadist, not a masochist?

That's half the issue. Most judges attitudes and perceptions aren't based on reasonably lawfully peoples behaviours but on meth heads, dead-beat dad, and other drains on society. And there is very little they hate more than people who they percieve to have a sense of entitlement, or that somehow because your special the law shouldn't apply to you. (Mrs. Selkirk is in the federal justice system and has many of the same opinions) When they are actually trying to rehab criminals their biggest goal is to break down that sense of entitlement. I think about the best thing you can do is fall on your sword, say I'm sorry your honor, I fucked up, won't happen again and mean it. The only time I've ever argued away a ticket it was for parking facing the wrong direction, on a 2 way street, 15 ft from where the road dead ended in a field, and the dead end happened to be the edge of the city limits, at 2:00 in the morning Didn't have to argue too hard for that one though

That blows, but thanks for sharing! I needed a good laugh Mortar would probably work fine for a set of shoes

I've seen some pretty ugly numbers coming out of Africa. The things going on there just sicken the soul. How about other relatively stable countries though? Canada, Europe, Japan.... Still not a fan of the Death Penalty though for many reasons, both practical and social. That said, he should never be a free man again.

That's a frightening set of statistics. Anyone know how those statistics travel culturally? (is it just that the US is this screwed up or is it part of the human condition?)

In other words Archie would like all future toenails and other misplaced bits and pieces mailed to her

[TR] Vantage - Sunshine Wall, Various Routes 9/19/2007
selkirk replied to catbirdseat's topic in Central/Eastern Washington
to G&M. Very good route. Air Guitar is just fun. Sinsemilla Also very cool and well protected. Crack Master Lambada Unless my perception at the time was truly warped, I remember solid 10 climbing interspersed with truly shitty pro! Granted my perception of small gear has changed a bit since then but..... -
Will second that! Whatever you do don't try and drag 2 ropes to bring up 2 followers F-in rope drag ! Oh, and for the traverse you'll want a blue TCU or two (depending on how much you like you followers). And Upper Toxic is just fun
-
We need the open mouth Homer drooling icon for any discussion of Pies. OH, and I get Huckleberry Pie this year And no, you can't have any
-
Skip Leavenworth and go to Tieton  Climb Mushmaker (5.7 hands) until you can do it on your sleep and without the face. Repeat on First Blood(5.8 rattly fists/offwidth), Repeat on Orange Sunshine (10b burly fingers), Repeat on Paul Maul (10c fingers). Or go try the top half of Toxic Shock at Index. Sweet hands!!!
-
Top rope-able if you stem off the tree And you must have little freakin hands!
-
The same could be said about offwidth climbing And in Mrs. Selkirk and the friends don't mind if I ditch them for something steeper. But for me, half of getting out is enjoying the company. When I ski alone I tend to be a natural hermit. Good Tele skiers are quite impressive though. Takes a lot of skill and strenght to make something that difficult look easy!

What, and become a board dork?
