  1. Hey Joshk, why don't you try not pigeonholing once in a while? This guy is worse than that lame college religious group that busted wine.com home deliveries because the UPS guys didn't check IDs. At least those guys didn't do it out of straight up greed like this asshole.
  2. There's a birthday in my pants
  3. Sorry. I had a beer last night. Where's divot?
  4. Unless you're looking to really hurt yourself, you won't be putting a mountaineering boot in Naxos or Fritschis. Silvretta 404's work because they have a wire bail at the front, like a crampon. The other bindings have a plastic toepiece that is meant to hold onto the top of a protruding toe like on downhill or AT ski boots.
  5. This is a great setup for what you want. It has Silvretta bindings which are pretty much the only ones you can use with mountaineering boots, and you can throw in some AT boots for real skiing. They won't have the shape you might want for carving turns on hardpack, and the toe is not releasable, but if you want to get more into AT you can get a more dedicated setup in the early summer when the deals are good. If you decide AT isn't your cup of tea, then you still have some great approach skis. $225 with skins is a pretty damn good deal too.
  6. I got stepped on with a pair of cleats about 3 weeks ago, right behind my fibula on my ankle. I thought it was bruised but doesn't seem to go away. It only hurts when there is pressure on it (i.e. When I put boots on) and I move it. The pain is right on the edge of the bone where it meets the void between the bulge of fibula and the achilles tendon. Does this make sense, or do I need to draw a picture? Any ideas as to what might be hurt?

    Why....

Suckers. I love my job and love my weekends and love my pay. Much easier said than done, but if I hated any of those enough, I think I'd be looking to make some changes.

My girlfriend stayed here with her family years ago, she said it was really cool. It's in Southern Oregon, and we're planning on heading down there for a weekend in the spring sometime. Her dad said the guy that runs the place is definitely an interesting fellow.
  12. I got a cheap one at Next Adventure for about $20. Holds a good amount, keeps liquids hot on a long day. If I can make it to drytool night sometime soon I'll bring it along. Edit: removed hot water priming description, since cj001f beat me to it
  13. Not impressed yet. That poo thread made me hungry, so I'm going home for dinner. I'll check in again in the morning and hope you people have come up with something better.
  14. Lets have 'em. We've got a little over three weeks to plan, and I'm not sure what I'm going to be yet. I'm thinking, after being reminded of Enumclaw in another thread, of making some kind of "horse-humping-me-backpack". That might be pretty cool. Any other ideas? A cool cheap costume I saw at a party last year was a guy dressed as a fat baseball coach. Bought some of those cheap "Bike" brand shorts at the sporting goods store, a pillow in his gut, a polo shirt, clipboard, and whistle. Clever girl costume ideas would be cool too, my girlfriend isn't into the whole sexy ________ costumes where you take any object in the world and make a tight, low cut costume out of it. I guess she could be the horse . . .
