I think it's often the case that desired information is just not recorded in the absence of a polarizing filter. Details and colors are lost and there's no way to get them back, no matter how you adjust what is remaining.

The larger Olympus (non-SLR) cameras appear filter-capable. But I wanted a 4 oz. one! ps. Photoshop CANNOT EVEN STEP to a polarizing filter

Is anyone using UV and polarizing filters for their digital photography, and does anyone know which if any of the new tiny digital cameras will take a filter adaptor and filters?

Can you get them on video? Or do they have a right to privacy while trespassing/stealing?

Yeah I'm not sure where the flake originated but it definitely landed right on top of the ground belay for Thin Fingers. To be exact, blocks hit about 5 feet to the right of the lower crack and 8 feet out (and there should be scars at the point of impact, along with some pretty-looking fresh granite blocks). I guess debris of the original chunk may have deflected over our way, if the original trajectory wasn't from directly above.

I haven't been up there since spring, but given the snowpack this year I would assume it's in fine shape with fine freeze-thaw snow the whole way and not extremely opened up yet.

I am a slightly better toproper than somebody's 5?-year-old son. Not dying is kinda fun and exiting. It costs three dollars to go to the art museum, but nine dollars to get a shitty portabella mushroom burger on Fraudway.

Thanks RuMR for looking out for us, and sorry for my fit of yelling after we got shelled. I wanted to be sure that people above us knew that we were in the line of fire. The sight of blocks winging down from above is burned into my mind! In a way I'm glad that it was us down there, because we were paying enough attention to reflexively take cover. A larger or less attentive party might have suffered worse. Now, I gotta say, I've never been so glad to be "that guy" with the helmet on at the crag...

Nice to meet you Weekend_Climberz. Speaking of this, I also failed to mention that it was recommended to me, by a highly respected member of the climbing community, that I might be owed a new backpack. Truthfully, I am already more than grateful that I'm not in the ICU right now.
