  1. about time indeed. I think I've been up there once this year. Sorry to hear you've been taking it personal, Bill!
  2. i'll see you all at silver bullet tonight, 6 pm
  3. a fifi is way easier to use than a biner. I can't imagine why you'd want a locking biner?
  4. Do we need to see the graph again? I'm pretty sure that'll never get played out.
  5. rapping into the mouth does not look easy or fun. plus you'd miss out on the best free hanging rappel ever.
  6. lots of people solo 3FJ but given how crumbly the rock is on the last pitch I would recommend roping up. Take a really light rack with large stoppers and hexes. have fun; should be a great weekend!
  7. 1. aiders and a fifi hook will make the bolt ladder easy 2. pretty sure you need 2 60m ropes for the rappel 3. aiders & a fifi hook; don't bother with jumars
  8. yeah, cha cha cha, especially the downtown location...get the relleno burrito. it won't make you sick either.
  9. those boots aren't adequate. your feet will get cold and wet. rent some plastic boots. I never had any trouble with blisters in plastics but I've known people who got severe blisters and even chafing on their shins wearing them
  10. I saw Donny Baker at teh libary last night, swear to God man.

  12. I'll just second what jlag said. I was up in Jefferson Park yesterday and the schrund is monstrous-looking.
  13. I'll say. Glad I got most of my hard living out of the way before I turned 18.
  14. it's more like a triumvirate, maybe? who's the caesar of beacon?
  15. I was just kidding about the double set of camalots, sorry. Nice job!
  16. oh you didn't hear? they shotcreted thermogenesis.
  17. everyday, everyday, everyday I write the book
  18. hmmm...sasquatch's fleece mitt liner?
  19. The easiest way to get to the top of the summit block as I recall is all the way to the right, like the SE corner maybe? It's much easier than 5.6, more like 4.10b. I think it takes smaller stoppers, don't remember using anything very big, except a large hex for a belay anchor at the bottom. Of course my memory isn't very good. Take a double set of camalots and you'll be fine.
  20. what's up will - no, plans have changed. need to stay closer to town this weekend.
  21. Anyone been up Unicorn Peak recently?
  22. Washington conditions are perfect right now - go for it. Middle Sister via the Hayden Glacier (east side) is nice. Use the Pole Creek TH - not sure if it the road's clear up there now.
  23. best trip report ever!!!
