Consensus is that LR is a grade III… in difficult climbing (not weather) conditions maybe a grade IV.
How could you see anything coming from the SW from thumb rock?
With that said: conditions do look good for the weekend. The two best "tools" you can take with you are knowledge and judgment. One is useless without the other, but when used together they are invaluable.

Let this be another lesson to you Paul.
I hope you are taking notes...
Vinyl = music not available on CD
Vinyl + 1s,2s, and 3s, mixer and creativity = musical instrument
The sad part is I actually own some JT on vinyl... I tell people it’s only for the neptune beats but…
everyone deserves a guilty pleasure right?
I'm happy to do it for whom ever once I get things squared away...
That's what got me into vinyl also! I couldn't live without having all the remixes to "Cry me a river" and some were only on 12" and 7"... extended club remix!
Once I reach a point that I am happy with the end product I will get a hold of you. Currently I am trying different software packages. Talk to you soon!
I should clarify: pictured is what I am recording to as the SL-DZ1200 (pictured) has more control to address such things as rpms and such. I spin the original record on a 1210 M5G. Everybody happy?
Not just a record player...
I am still experimenting with recording devices for getting it from vinyl to CD, but once I get things squared away (i.e happy with the final product… currently the sound quality is diminished greatly in the process) I would be glad to help out (especially since I can keep a copy of your records).
Nice route (beautiful setting away from the crowds); the access can be confusing as there are 800 roads that sprout off the road.
You should find some ice; when I did this (years ago) in late June we found a fair amount. Lambone summed it up nicely. Good luck!
You send me some blank CDs and I can bury you...
If you like the old school flavor check out Ugly Duckling - Taste the Secret... solid old school indy and it will take you back (so I'm told... I'm still a young pup…). If your hip hop genesis included De La and Jungle Brothers you'll dig it.
I am so jealous...
My LP shipped today (viva analog!)... sometimes I hate having to wait for it but on the flip usually the schwag makes it worth it... I think this one is coming with a bonus 7" remix
