  1. I believe you win. ...I'm just glad there are some old guys on here that remember EBs and Goldline... What's even more impressive is if you go repeat some of Gary's routes. Amazing what he pulled off years ago considering the gear options at the time. Gary.
  2. Thumb rock takes an early morning pounding: Body recovery on LR 2004: Searching for bodies on LR 2004: Climb the mtn on her terms not yours.
  3. Extra session this week: Wednesday March 9th 3:30ish – pump. Please PM me if you are planning on attending/interested and what, if any, gear you need to borrow. Newbies are welcome and encouraged. WRT the daylight issue: do you all climb Hood only in the daylight? Just a thought... Regardless: When ever you decide to come out I'll be stoked to enlist a few more regulars... looking forward to climbing with all the new people coming out tomorrow (Tuesday) night
  4. Next session is Tuesday March 8th 3:30ish – pump. I know at least one person that can't make this night so I will likely have a second night either Monday or Wednesday depending on what people request. Please PM me if you are planning on attending/interested (specify which night you would like) and what, if any, gear you need to borrow. Newbies are welcome and encouraged. As always: cell: 541.231.2062 alphanumeric: 888.267.5727
  5. Topos in my gallery. PM me if you want route specific beta. Climb finger of fate (5.8). It's better than outer space.
  6. Tydog (and anyone else for that matter): On average I dt 3 times during the week… 1-2 times at Rocky and a third session on a concrete bridge I drilled out near my house. Anyone (newbie to M10 monster and anyone in between) is welcome any time I go out (dt, running, etc)… however it’s on you to take the initiative to contact me. My purpose in organizing dt night was twofold: primarily it is an opportunity for anyone (not just me) to meet and further staff the list of potential climbing partners… I don't know about you but nothing burns me more than not getting to climb because I couldn’t find a partner… I think many can relate to this. Attending dt night will allow you to meet and screen potential future partners. Secondly I want to create a forum for local climbers to get together and try out something new (climb type and climbing gear) all while having fun. As the weather gets better my hope is to transition dry tool night into PDX climb night. And with that said spring and rock season is around the corner and what better way to shake the rust off than pulling down a little? Shoot me a pm if you’d like to hook up. I know a local gear shop manager is going to start attending semi regularly so this would be a good chance to scope out (maybe even try out) next years ice tools as he generally gets to demo most of them (speaking of DMM has a sweet tool in the works). Hope you’ll join us! John
  7. Does anyone know if he is scheduled to do any shows closer to Seattle/Portland/Eugene?
  8. You're looking in the wrong places.
  9. Next session is this Monday Feb 28th 3:30ish – pump (though I can't get there until 4ish). Please PM me if you are planning on attending/interested and what, if any, gear you need to borrow. Newbies are welcome and encouraged. As always: cell: 541.231.2062 alphanumeric: 888.267.5727
  10. Wild nice crew in the house.
  11. Next session is this Tuesday Feb 15th 3:30ish – pump. Please PM me if you are planning on attending/interested and what, if any, gear you need to borrow. Newbies are welcome and encouraged. New route is clean and ready to be broken in. As always: cell: 541.231.2062 alphanumeric: 888.267.5727
  12. I think they demonstrated any thread I post in is fair game.
  13. It must be difficult keeping straight which avatar you are logged in under. Do you keep all the names and passwords in a spreadsheet?
  14. You mean like someone who calls them self a climber but doesn't climb more than twice a week? John, go fuck yourself. Paul. Wow! Go to lunch and miss out! Paul: just because I scooped up Hannah before you could lose some weight and convince her how cool you are in lieu of the fact you interact with people more online than in the real world doesn't mean you gotta hate on me.
  15. Right on right on. I started my M-F in March and found I had way more free time than I did in grad school so I kinda went crazy. Climbed every weekend with the exception (had to move) of 3 during that time period. Good stuff. I definitely know if I was in Seattle I would have put less on the but still a small price to pay for quality climbing in WA.
  16. I was until last week. Since it's now 3 hrs to Yosemite..... Lucky bastard.
  17. You mean like someone who calls them self a climber but doesn't climb more than twice a week? NOLSe, you are a very funny guy. You seem have these bizarre standards and ethics that have nothing to do with reality. If I up my climbing to three times a week, do I get the special NOLSe "Official Real Climber" certificate for my resume? Nope. But if you climb the girth pillar you can find some biners.
  18. When I don't have to drive 700 miles to get there? Sorry... thought you were in PDX after you expressed some interest.
  19. When are you coming out to drytool night? Or would that put you over quota?
  20. You mean like someone who calls them self a climber but doesn't climb more than twice a week?
  21. You mean like posting/calling people out under multiple anonymous avatars?
  22. Define regularly. And where are you alpine climbing?
  23. Over 40K from March to Dec. last year on my … lots of oil changes. Even more suck is some of my partners can't drive a stick (d00kie!)... From 16-20 when I was living in Eugene I put 225K on a rabbit (sold the car at 325K miles!) driving to climb in OR almost exclusively (lots of trips to smith). Roughly 50K a year!
