Who here has an really strong aversion to snakes. not that you dislike them as animals, but that they have the effect...say, like spiders have on some people.

I was thinking that say, if the the snake bit you in the aorta or maybe stabbed his/her little fangs into your heart you might be more concerned then if he/she just got an extremity. When looking at all the place where it didn't bite you, do you have any order? I mean, favorite places to look?

Looks like you got right to the spot where many get off route (heading to the climbers right too much, instead of climbing up the ledges and staying left, climbing up the col/gulley at the top of the ledges). You weren't that far from your goal.

Kat, what factors can you use to assess a bite? amount of venom? location of bite? ? For a bite on the finger with no obvious venom should you take off for the hospital....or is it cool to have your partner go clean your gear and maybe stop at the pub for a few brews before checking in at the hospital?
