It isn't what can't be accomplished when you take away the "for profit" side...it is the delivery to the people who actually need it that suffers however. This is a strong desire by drug companies to solve the problems...but then when they figure it out they want to cash out and get rich....which means expensive drugs that people in 3rd world countries can't afford.
