I saw that set of goats up there, but they saw the gleam in my eye and were off before I could get my camera out. Purty.

I want some of the "Magic Spray" they put on injured players so they could keep playing. I'd like to stick my head in a bucket of it this morning.

Climb: DAS TOOF-South Face Date of Climb: 7/8/2006 Trip Report: I took a friend up for his first alpine rock climb Saturday morning....Das Toof! We both had limited time, and were actually planning on bagging some 3rd class scramble peaks, but I talked him into Das Toof as we were hiking up the Snow Lake trail. After all...we had a rope. There is still snow covering most of the rocks: My friend did very well...first time on alpine rock. It was so cool to see him digging the experience. The summit shot: Check out the cool vintage MSR helmet he inherited from his dad: The hills are alive with music: Today I went and climbed the South Face of Schurman rock. I'm pretty sure the route I did has been done before, but how many people have ripped their pants on the climb and still finished? Clearly this is worth of an Alpinist submission...or should get me off Twight's porch. Gear Notes: +Vintage helmet +Sparks does a body good Approach Notes: Snow on the rocks made it quick to get up there. Being the first up for the day was nice, but then the herd caught up with us as we were rapping down, and we got to spend some quality time at the rap stations with some folk.

Nice fern! But how many pushups can you do? I've been training! Someday I'm going to go climbing at this Mighty Mt. Squamish. Will you aid Diedre with me? Such a sweet pic...once more: -

Well, we may not have a keg by then, as Terminal Gravity hasn't got back to me yet (he is probably too busy making that tasty beer)....but lets not let that stop us from partying, climbing, and helping out Kurt. Lets just go ahead and do it this upcoming weekend (not this weekend, the 15/16th)...if we want to get a keg by that time, we may need to just buy one. Just so yall know.

Here is a deep thought: "Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them."

ISN'T TEH INTERNETS GREAT????

It is not this Saturday, though we could practice. I have to get a keg from down in Oregon from Terminal Gravity (as well as work out the details of said keg with him). Any Oregonians want to volunteer to pick up a keg in a weekend or two and bring it up? I will most likely be going up to Index for at least one day this weekend, but if there is a party, it will just be a warm up for the kegger that we will have in a weekend or two.

maybe someday someone will find this useful: -
my eyes are blue...but this weekend will probably not be good as coordination of getting a keg of beer delivered from Oregon will need to happen.
-
We'll need to coordinate getting beer, but what date is good for you?
-
On this day in 1954, first ascent of K2 by Lacedelli and Compagnoni.
-
OK...a weekend Kegger at Index sounds good to me. Now we just need to set up a date. Archenemy, your property has plenty of parking and an area for camping if people need to do that or no?
-
i'm having trouble finding the off switch.

A refined European event, which, like the Tour de France, offends the delicate sensibilities of the rough and ready American ruffians, who, influenced by the landscapes of the frontier land, prefer other American Football, Basketball, or perhaps Baseball. Its all in my book: America: Her Freedoms and Her Psyche.
