The real treat comes in the pre dawn hour before sunrise. Hundreds of peaks silhouette the eastern skyline and the still sleeping cities remain in darkness, hidden in the shadow of the cascades. Today's project climb handed me my hat. Sometimes a sucessful retreat is as meaningful as a sucessful send. I took a nap in the shade to celebrate.

Better to frame in the fourth bedroom, a open loft makes the rest of the house harder to heat in the winter. French doors might be a good compromise.

Like any guide that profiles 2000 routes, some typos exist, but the new routes and excelent topo photos make up for the odd typo. There is a few of my routes in there, look for anything climbed by a guy named "unknown" Plus, when you buy it, you get your very own pictures of me and Mrs. G, suitable for framing. kiss kiss!

The only time the gloves come out is long routes in cold or windy weather. They keep my hands warm!
