  1. .... what he said.
  2. A whole keg just for you?...fuckin' party on!
  3. ahh, maybe next time!
  4. You disagree, then say the same thing. Climber's can have a chip in the big game here. The UW wall has served generations of climbers and it's loss can easily generate widespread public support via what will be a shurely sympathetic local news media. Easy b-footage and concerned 10 second soundbytes make for perfect editorial fodder. How about this artist's conception of a new UW wall:
  5. Gosh Benny, I though Mrs. G was going to climb in my stead if I cannot make it... she was all excited and stuff. The A-town will be in town that weekend, but will be busy staying up for 3 days, haloween costume mandatory. You are welcome to come stay at the house if you want, (you get to sleep with Baja and Lu)
  6. Replacing old anchor bolts seems fine with me, but adding new protection bolts to protect long standing traditional pitches is silly. Of course, climbing in general is silly, as it is a pointless, selfish exersise.
  7. The UW rock is a Seattle icon, and should be rallied around by all PNW climbers, as nearly all of us have climbed there. If they want to build an overpass where the rock is, prehaps they can just build a new wall under the freeway ala burnside skate park in Portland or the mtn bike trails in Seattle. The atmosphere would be compromised, but at least the new structure would be dry 24/7 year round.
  8. Good times this weekend, climbed both days. Me & Li did a fine adventure route and were rewarded with 20 year old webbing at the top.
  9. Isn't there some real rocks somewhere around town?
  10. When you're hot, you're hot.
  11. Weather's nice down here. Come on down, we'll leave the lights on for you. That is all
  12. Cosmic wall is an I-5 must do!
  13. Evergreen used to a outside wall, I remember bouldering there.
  14. perfect weather + everyone is still in utah/ the valley x 2000 routes = right now
  15. Your comment reminds me of almost getting fucking stomped by cranked up locals at the Summer Meltdown in Darrington. Next time Benny, next time i'll say yes to your offer of help!
  16. As you can see in this map I drew, many subtle boundarys exist: *The Suan Juans are really part of Canada *Port Townsend is part of Seattle *Kelso is much bigger than first thought * Idaho extends west to hwy 97 at Ellensberg * North Central Washington is a scary, dangerous place * Winthrop, Spokane and The Enchantments are a suburbs of Seattle
  17. Sad, you leave out so many great hicktowns by only looking in King and Pierce counties. A short list of some of the finer places that don't allow cauk boots inside: Concrete Darrington Forks Granite Falls Packwood Republic Sultan
  18. My pop and I saw two bears on our recient trip up to Goat Flats. Pretty cool to see bears, but I was hoping for a sasquach.
  19. This kind of removable bolt? You mean a scaffolding anchor?
  20. I took my WFR through AAI in Bellingham. Kelly Turner was a fantistic teacher, his coverage of alternative medicines and care techniques was an valuable compliment to the standard blood and guts stuff.
  21. The meltdown was really fun! Good friends, good music. Best festival between Hazel and Fortson!
  22. Third beach bouldering Low tide is preferred, consult tide tables before starting out. Most boulders are south of the trail, some kinda manditory 2nd/ 3rd class, nice sand landings. Water shoes a plus for aqua- rich sit starts.
  23. Yeah, where did that thing go?... you might have got a few bucks from me!
  24. pages 93-94 rock
  25. The climb to the right is fun as well.
