If you are using one of the big ISPs, your email itself is being stored on one of their servers, at least until you download it. Large ISPs have any number of people that could access your email if they wanted because they have access to the machine. It is extremely frowned upon by the companies, but it does happen. I've seen it. If you're really worried about it, run your own mail server. That still doesn't solve the plain-text problem. For that, look into PGP encryption. As far as online banking goes, I've been doing it for over 3 years without a problem. If you're vigilant about requiring secure connections (128-bit encryption or more), you're protected from all but military-grade decyphering, at least during transfer.

I'm curious why people thing he's a liar. Anyone have anecdotes and/or stories to share that show it? I really liked him before he started his campaign and really wanted him to run, but his campaign has been a big letdown for me. He's come across as very slick and very in tune with the old Democratic establishment. I like his military credentials and he seems a good leader, he's come across as very moderate on issues and I generally agree with his stance on things, but there's something about him that just seems artificial. Not that that's new in politics. I think what we need is something new, and for my money that's Howard Dean right now. If given a choice between Clark and Bush in the next election, I'd vote for Clark without hesitation, though. My attitude right now is pretty much "anybody but Bush" because I really can't imagine anyone worse. But I'd be happy to vote for Dean, Clark or Kerry. The question is which of these has the support to beat Bush (if any). I think Dean has the best chance so far.

What I find amusing is that the 2nd Amendment seems to be the only ones conservatives care about these days. The others hare going to hell in a handbasket.

Actually, Larry Flint bought the photos but is refusing to publish them because he thinks she's a nice person and thinks she's been used as a pawn by the Bush Administration PR machine. Sounds like he's got some class to me.

I agree, go see the movie. The battle scene in The Dock alone is worth the price of admission -- one of the best I've seen. But don't go in expecting there to be any kind of resolution or closure for the story or the questions raised in the previous movies. There isnt' any. Just sit back and enjoy the action. And speaking of bad acting, how in the world did Keanu become an A-list actor? He's been terrible in everything since Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.

They completely dropped every single philosophical twist from the second movie -- as in didn't even deal with it, just left it hanging. The special effects were nice, but the core of these movies were a lot more than just flash. They completely bailed on what made these movies more than just a CGI-fest. This movie was no better than those awful Star Wars I & II movies -- all flash and no substance. I wanted this movie to be so much more than that, like the other two were. And that was the absolute cheesiest ending I've ever seen.
