Each business should be able to decide if it wants to allow smoking or not. The government deciding that a private business can't allow smoking is just as wrong as the government deciding that it must allow smoking. The government has no business making that decision for private enterprises either way.

I appreciate tele_nut's point of view being in the middle of things, particularly since he turned down his attitude somewhat, but the idea that everyone else should "STFU" because they aren't there is rediculous.

I'm just glad they restricted the HOV time to 5am-7pm recently. Now I can legally swing over into the HOV lane beacuse some idiot is blocking the fast lane at 10pm.

I say get them governing themselves and get our boys and girls home. We seem to be on that path att the moment. I was against going in there, particuarly the way we did, but now that we are there we need to do this thing right and get out. And Bush needs to go for getting us into this in the first place (among other reasons).

I'm the first to say our policy in Iraq and treatment of civilians there has been atrocious, but I didn't read anything in that article that pointed blame at the troops for anything other than trying to protect bystanders in case there was another bomb.

Judging by commercials, there's already a product to stimulate female sexual appetite -- that new KY "personal lubrication" that warms on contact. I about lost it when I heard that. What the hell?!

This may be the same commercial that cracks me up. The old guy says something like "For years we've wanted to open a Bed & Breakfast. Then I had to go on chemo." It's not that he had to go on chemo that was hilarious, but the complete 180 degree turn the commercial does in the first 5 seconds. Happy music and smiling faces for the first sentence, then sad music and frowns for the second. Utter contrast and a blatant attempt at getting faux sympathy. It's hilarious. My favorite, though, are the ones that spend 30 second spots showing you how happy people are on their drug du jour and telling you to ask your doctor if it's right for you...but never tell you what the damn thing treats!
