    Matrix Revolutions

I saw it as well. While the battle scene in The Dock about half way through was uttery fantastic, the movie as a whole was a very big letdown. All flash and no soul. I quit caring what happened to Neo and crew about half way through.
  2. I couldn't possibly care less.
  3. Newt Gingrich is currently on the Defense Policy Board, advisory board to the Pentagon and Department of Defense and chock full of Rumsfeld's and Wolfowitz's neo-conservative buddies. Fellow members include Henry Kissinger, Richard Perle and Dan Quayle. I kid you not. Link
  4. cc.com?
  5. Sneak attack? You apparently have no idea how many people are on both sites.

    get on the list

I support the Second Amendment and am against most attempts at gun control, but the NRA is a bunch of whackjobs. They can pry my donations from my cold, dead hands.
  7. Thanks for the info, Dru. I'll have to do some research. I knew there was some evidence that the people crossing the Bering had possibly done some island-hopping by kayak, but I hadn't heard about the older South American dates.
  8. I'm sure you'll find you one soon.
  9. Obviously there were people that walked across the Baring Strait during the ice age, thus the Native Americas and all the indigenous peoples of North and South America, but I haven't heard of anyone sailing across. Who and when?
  10. The Vikings (the real ones, not the football team) may have been barbarians, but you have to give them credit -- they were really good at it. They put the fear of God into the British (particularly the monastaries! ) and were the first to sail to North America, 500 years before Columbus "discovered" it. I don't subscribe to any racial superiority ideas, though.
  11. You mean the software company you just did a lot of work for?
  12. I'd vote for McCain in a heartbeat. Classic Republicans. Neo-conservatives and new Republicans. Bring back Teddy Roosevelt! He must be rolling over in his grave over the current batch of so-called republicans.
  13. Just say no to religious conversion.
  14. The mudslides next spring in California are going to be worse than the fires. All that uncovered slope...
  15. Trask in the center? I'll believe it when I see it. Tomorrow he'll be campaigning for Bush in 2004 again.
  16. My god, I saw a commercial for the TV movie "Saving Jessica Lynch" the other day and I laughed so hard I almost hurt myself. Apparently, they are going to play her up as a war hero.

    Jury duty

Serving on a jury when called is part of your civic duty, so serve already. Do you try to weasel out of voting too?
  18. Like I said: pr0n.
  19. Warez, pr0n and pirated music.
  20. Ol' girl needs to eat something. Someone get her a sandwich, stat!
  21. Be warned, Armored Saint is from around 1984, so it can sound a bit dated now. Arch Enemy and In Flames are very similar, but I like the axework in In Flames better.
  22. I quit listening to Anthrax right around the time they signed on John Bush as the singer. Nothing against John Bush, it was a coincidence. He was an awesome singer for Armored Saint -- one of the most underrated and overlooked 80s metal bands -- and he sounded like a good fit for Anthrax. I just thought their music went downhill. Their 'Among The Living' era is still the best. Greg, have you heard of a band called In Flames? If you don't mind a little growling in leiu of singing, they are freakin awesome. Some of the best guitarwork I've ever heard. They have a lot of albums to choose from, but I'd recommend (in order) Whoracle, Colony and Clayman. I saw them at the Showbox a few months ago and the show was excellent as well.
  23. This brings up an image of you sitting at your desk floating around your office.
  24. Try SpyBot. I've found it catches a lot of things Ad-Aware doesn't.
