So anyone going to Kode9 at ChopSuey?
-
Now I know where your facination with midgets and clowns come from. Actually I have been wanting to go to Zinzanni, thanks for reminding me.
-
Hell yeah that looks good. I cant wait to build the new wall, right now I just took down my current wall for our move. I think the next one will be inside since about 75% of the year is monsoon season, also I think it will be way too humid and hot for outdoor climbing. Hey RumR, what did you get the wee ones started on? I agree for myself vert is waste, but the little one is interested but can't get on the overhanging stuff, yet. Also if I set some easier section the wife may be more interested than she has been. Suggestions?

So I sold off a bit of my Metolius holds and most of Nicros set (I can't remember the name of) that I really didn't like, generally I like Nicros and have been happy with my other set that I have. No real complaints with the Metolius though most of mine are polished, just make me work harder to grip. Now I am getting more holds once again. I think I have convinced my wife that we need a boulder den. Has anyone heard of Three Ball Climbing (they have three dots on them like Alpinfox mentioned), they seem to have some good price sets, don't know anything about them and the texture durability of their holds? What about East Coast Holds, never heard of them, there website doesn't make them to appealing looking? What about Atomik, again never heard of them?

It has been in Leavenworth in the past, what about other places? Smith Rocks, but in July/August it might be a little to warm. Squamish would be cool, there is camping and easy climbs for the young ones and good weather. Mt. Erie, but I have never been climbing there so I don't know if there is good section of rock for kids there and don't know what the camping situation is like there.

So I been living abroad too long as most of you know, and been missing going to live concerts, there is occasional lame african hip-hop here and cover bands, but it doesn't do much for me. Anyways I am back for a bit and want to get some good music shows in. So what is playing and who is going what during July and August in Seattle?
-
Most definitely, I'll be back in Seattle on the 4th of July.
-
Damn I thought there was going to be another picnic/slideshow when I was back. Oh well.
-
It is about balance and knowing what each other want and need. I have no problems doing what I want as long as I make sure she is getting her needs met and has the free time to do what she wants. The things I want to do is climbing, biking and the occasional late night drinking, keeps me pretty happy. For her it is having family activities planned, going out for a date, going out for yoga and the occasional run. As long as we are able to do both we stay pretty happy. BTW- All the gear in the world is not going to get you out using it.
-
So I got a question for you all I am coming back to Seattle and will have my bike, but I have a friend flying from the east coast and was thinking it might be fun to take him on some rides. Are there any places to rent decent mountain bikes, in the Methow or in other spots where there is some good riding? Yeasterday I went out for one of my last rides in Rwanda. It was a five hour over several hills, one being a good 1000ft climb. Finished it off with a beers and bbq. I am going to miss the riding here, it is so good that I will contemplate taking a trip back just to do some more mountain biking in Rwanda. Even after almost 4 years of riding here 2-3 times a week, I still got on new trails yesterday. I have never been some place with so many damn trails.

You can have your car exhaust and polystyrene glue, I would much rather have shrooms. Mmm shrooms in a box with a fox, on a boat with a goat, on a train with cane, in a lab with crab, Ken I am I will eat shrooms whenever I can!
-
Thanks again Off for another TR to another place I ahve seen little pictures of. Looks like great climbing for sure. Cheers.
-
Cool TR, first time seeing any pictures of the area, it's reputation as choss and other not so appealing descriptors always kept me from going there.

What about all millions of dollars that has been sent to Iraq and not accounted for. In most cases there arent even reciepts. I would think that would affect you more especially since a good portion most likely funneled back to the opposition foriegn forces in Iraq.

There are a bunch of freaks on the AT every year, flip-floping non stop. I was out for a month and there was a few I met twice.
-
I don't think any of the parking lots have security services and if they do they pretty damn worthless.

Thanks Tokogirl, I just read up on Chittagong, I think I will definitely be in luck finding fun things to do up there. That area also very undeveloped even in undeveloped world standards. Yeah it seems we are time our move just perfectly for monsoon season, we should be there right in the middle of the season. When I was just in Thailand we had on day where it rained really hard in the afternoon and there was a foot / foot and half of water from that storm, I can't imagine what it is going to be like. I read an article that describes it as a giant toilet bowl being flushed, fun.

from Wiki: "How to Cut an Avocado Without Touching the Flesh" When you love eating but hate peeling and cutting an avocado you may want to read these instructions. The trick of not getting avocado pulp all over your hands is cutting it without touching the pulp. Steps: Use a medium-sized sharp knife to cut lengthwise around the avocado. Let the knife follow the contour of the avocado by pressing the knife blade into the flesh touching the large pit. This will guide the knife making the process easier to cut the avocado into two halves. Make a vertical cut around the whole avocado. Twist the two avocado halves while pulling the two lengthwise pieces gently apart. Use a knife to remove the pit from the avocado. Whack the knife firmly into the pit. Twist the knife and the pit will be removed from the avocado half. " Sounds like fun. That is the only way to do, but then you need to sprinkle with salt, spoon out flesh and eat. mmmmm

I don't think this guy or anyone like him could ever grow on me. WTF he is very scary, what the hell is the thought process that goes on in ones head to take half naked picture of themselves with guns and post them on the internet? Very creepy, this guy needs help before he either shoots his balls off in one of his photo shots or blow someone head off becasue they cut in front of him in the check out line.

What the hell you talking about brands??? Homemade salsa is the best, and it is so easy to make. You can make it as hot or mild as you would like. Here is my basic fresh salsa recipe: Large white onion, chopped fine 3-4 Tomatoes, chopped Handful of chopped cilantro Pinch of salt (to taste) 1-2 limes squeezed (to taste) heat source (see below) heat source option 1: basic nice pepper taste and spice roast 3 anaheim (deseed and deskin and chop) roast 1-3 Jalepeno pepper minced (mild 1 deseeded and deskinned, ass burnin hot 3 with seeds and deskin) heat source option 2: smokey minced Chipotal (for medium heat I use 2-3 with seeds) heat source option 3: hot as hell Habanero (scotch bonnet) minced real fine, be careful with these suckers they are extremely hot. Serenos are also good hot pepper to use instead of Jalpenos or Habanero. Once you learn the different flavors you can make your salsa perfect everytime. While I am at it Guacamole is usually ruined by mixing it too much. To make a good gaucamole prepare all of your ingredients and mix well except for the avacado. Put in your avacado in big chunks and mix. And don't use curry powder, bleh, use the raw ingredient corriander, mustard, pepper, salt, cumin and fenugreek to make curry flavor that is more rich. Personally I just like lime, cumin, corriander, and salt for seasoning my guacamole and pepper, onion and tomato for other veggies.

I don't know about that, there was nothing special we did for Simone she was naturally a good sleeper. I just think in general, some kids just sleep better than others. There is some training involved, but I think most it is either they are or aren't good at sleeping. I can't wait for a diaper free future. That will be nice.
-
Beginning August or mid possibly, dad got to get his climbing in first though, especially since the wee one has not begun climbing, I just thought she might like to see other kids climbing.
-
Ha ha ha sucker, little Simone still sleeps through the night. I hope we will be just as lucky with a second someday.
