That's BS!! Commuting around town on a full suspesion is silly. Urban riding on full-suspension is a blast. Seattle has some great urban, hugh stair gaps, big drops, wall ride (though a dualy doesn't help), I have found some good step ups and table tops too.

Santa Cruz-Bullit (my pride and joy) Balfa-Minuteman (fun little dirt jumper) Bridgestone- RB1 (road bike) Bridgestone- MB3 (commuter/touring rig) I would also like to get a IF-cross bike. Next purchase is going to be going to be either a Fisher-Sugar or Trek-Fuel. Anyone have either a Sugar or Fuel???? Spray on about them, I want to hear about them. I had two others before moving out here a GT-Idrive 1 and english 3 speed already had to many bikes to move so I gave them away.

When I first saw this post I just thought you all were talking about the States in general. Yeah the PNW and Detroit have a lot of dumb ugly people, but there every where in the US.

Yo Holmes, Looks like I am planning on getting up there on Saturday. Do you think you are going to have any free time to carve a few turns?

Well boarding is where it is at E-rock. I've been all kinds, tele, alpine, and randonee, nothing compares to ripping down some face on a snowboard. I've snowboarded a bit. It is pretty fun, but you do have both of your feet tied to one board. That's not to much fun when you've gotta do a lot of flat skiing. Sure you can buy a split board or snowshoes, but then you've gotta take the board off and fuck with it or cary the extra weight of snowshoes. I'll stick to skis thank you. It doesn't take that long to switch a Split over into ski mode a couple minutes at the most. A worthwhile 2 minutes.

I would definitely keep climbing, I would have to entertain myself some way. I think I could have fun for quite a while if I was the only one alive. Blowing shit up like Specialed mentioned would be entertaining. Run zip lines from really high buildings, set myself with a styling pads, drive a new car everyday, learn to fly so that I check out other place across the pond, gotta have a couple of boats too. There would be no peak fees, park passes, bills, government, work, man sounds like heaven except no woman. I'd probably go insane, but that might be fun too.

Several things about the designs on these sites. Instead of uisng nuts and bolts to connect the sled to pack belt I would reccomend using cotter pin with large fender washers. That way you can disconnect the sled from your waist belt. Instead of using seperate waist strap I just used a soldering iron to melt holes in my climbing pack waist belt. Don't notice the holes during the summer time. As for mounting the poles ono the sled I used PC7 to glue the poles to L-tubes and short piece of tube the width of he sled, so that you have n elongated U. Then you can use U-brackets to connect your poles to the deck of your sled. Drill holes at the end of the poles so that you can run the cotter pins from your pack through the tubes. Doing this will eliminate any play at the sled pole connection and the pack pole connection, which will making skiing much more enjoyable. Also, I noticed that a lot of people choose to use PVC. I never really liked it that much cause it broke and it was to flexible. I suggest using aluminum tubing, you can get it at almost any hardware store for about the same price. Either way you can run cord through the poles in case the poles break you have a back up in place that you don't have to set up.

No need for a corkscrew, I just twist off the aluminum cap. Actually there are some wines now-a-days that are pretty decent that have screw caps. They just haven't really become too popular because screw caps have always been associated with cheap wines. If you don't have a corkscrew, I would remmond buying those in the future. I guess read down through the page before replying AlpineK and Ehmmic already covered it.

That is an impressive feat. When I saw that article I was wondering how long it would be before those lines started going.

Well this last weekend, Ice Cliff Glacier looked like it would be very difficult to climb up, a lot of glacial polished slab below the actual glacier. Sherpa Glacier right now looks like it would be a fun and challenging climb. The shrung looks pretty wide, but it looks like it is passable on a rock rib. I don't this help at all, but it is the only side of the mountain I have seen recently.
