  1. that guy just bought them from Sierra Trading Post and is trying to resell them on ebay. mine came in the same cardboard as in the picture. what a character.
  2. what about the highest peak in each park? done that one? i hear an epic push calling....
  3. finally. i was hoping it was getting done soon considering the the activity i was seeing over there a few weeks ago. maybe i'll head over there again... nice job FS
  4. when i did it in June this year ( our TR ), we rapped off the gendarme that is between the Mohler Tooth and the summit. then we rapped off another block further down the East face and downclimbed/plunge stepped/glissaded back to the Whitewater and it was only like an hour back to Jeff Park from there. be careful of what you sling because there's lots of loose stuff and also be careful on the downclimbing because it's pretty steep at the top. also watch out for that ever present spontaneous rockfall. it's way faster than traversing the whole mountain...
  5. i've got a Fender standard Jazz with a SWR workingmans 10 amp....PM me if you're interested.

    1. Mt. Jefferson, Jeff Park Glacier 2. hiking 40+ miles a week and getting paid for every minute hasn't happened yet, but... 3. my first alpine trad lead (to occur in 2 weeks) but question i have is what are people's goals for the fall/winter? Mine is to feel comfortable leading WI4
  8. Jake, i'm stuck out here too. don't you just love it? do you go to UI or WSU? i'm booked this weekend, but next is free. PM me and i can show you some local rock areas and we can make plans for next weekend. i've got some good ideas...
  9. i was more than willing to give them a loving home since their rightful owner neglected them so badly... probably a couple of snowboarders anyways.
  10. yea, i'm pissed. i ordered them like 2 weeks ago when they were $75 each. those bastards! i can't wait to abuse them.
  11. CK, Glad to hear you had the thought to turn around. i was going to go there last weekend too...how wierd. maybe we shall hit that thing up next year? I had a nice weekend at Spring Mountain...getting worked and sending the hardest routes i've ever done.
  12. when i drove by last week it looked like some progress was happening on the new bridge...if the crane was any guide to progress. couldn't see the bridge in the parking lot, so who knows? kind of hard to tell what was happening at 70mph though.
  13. Timmay! i think i'm still in, but only if i'm still able to climb since i'm spending that whole week in Leavenworth. kind of a long drive from there to smiff and back to school on monday. count me as a maybe....
  14. yea, well, i found three 24oz PBRs just above the Timberline Lodge on Hood last November. Stuck right in the snow, glistening in the sun, just waiting for me...
  15. i'm in for an orygun epic timmay! time to get me some planks, huh? what about the wallowas? i'm open on the 20th weekend...
  16. i believe that it could happen...i'm just wondering what route you took from B-choss back to Bachy... that could make a lot of difference. so what was it?
  17. Timmay, I'm saddened to hear that things have escalated to such a level. This site wasn't meant for things like you're dealing with, but for those days and times like that day at Smiff this summer...just hanging out, flailing and cursing our way up some easy routes and trying to be as plab as possible...all with new friends. that's what it's all about. Thanks for what you've given to me as a climber and as a person. next time i see you, the beer's on me.
  18. slogging up Rainier with the masses...
  19. i was looking at doing that route in the next 3 weeks...thanks a bunch for the beta! how was the approach?
  20. i heard that the mazama is in good shape right now ...have fun.
  21. I happened to find myself buildering around the WSU campus last night...it was the first time, but i think i'll be doing more. i only do traverses around the buildings though. just a few feet off the ground, nothing like he was doing...
  22. i don't think that corn was the crop he was referring to...
  23. I saw the mountaineers books catalog yesterday and the new WA guide is listed, but won't be available until Oct as was stated before. the cover photo looks pretty sweet. i've got mine on reserve from the local gear store already.
  24. I'm looking for something to hit up on the upcoming three day weekend, so does anyone have a favorite route in WA or southern Canada that is somewhat moderate? I'm thinking like grade III, glacier travel, AI, and some easy rock.....
  25. nothing like a good poem to motivate me to go elsewhere. what about the crevasses on the eliot for some ice? does it look dry yet?
