  3. Though you would think ltown locals would be spawning mutant crushers, the only kids i've met in town who climb, didn't really start til they were 17 or older. A bit odd. supremely odd.... but when I was there i met Kyle O' Meara and his friend Joel... they were not very old and totally crushing, joel sent the Ram. Which felt pretty hard to me for sure..... There is no doubt that Kyle and Joel are super strong, but they are from seattle, and definetly not highschool age. Besides some very young local kids (ages 4-10), i've just never seen the 12-16 year old local mutants one would expect to see growing up in a climbing town.

  8. hey skiers with opinions about splitboarders: WE DONT GIVE A FLYING FUCK WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT OUR SPORT! if you have anything worthy to say about boot options, go for it, otherwise, get a life.
  9. you are an idiot. shit is getting done on splitboards
  10. the rock will proabaly be wet until it is dry.
  11. yeah, pimpsqueak in 3 tries is pretty pimp.
  12. i've been thinking the same thing. it will come. La Sportiva recommends the $600 Spantik's, anybody have any experience with these? At least the sport is seeing some kind of technological advancement

  15. Good news, thanks Jeff.
  16. seeing as there is still snow up on the top of wedge, proabaly a bit up in the enchantments too.
  17. Nice you guys, been wanting to get on that for years. It's funny how many PNW climbers will drive 12+ hours to the valley to jump in line on the Column or Leaning Tower when all the comparable routes a few hours away in squamish sit vacant (and sometimes soggy). Me too! I'll work it with you marc. Have you seem this link: This could blow your onsight This looks sick too!
  18. i took that same fall a long long time ago...
  19. No place like the valley to tell you how it is. Always humbling down there.
  20. Jens buddy Cedar just made this cool video of our climb
  21. I hear ya glassgowkiss. I've tried to transition into the master-cams by bringing an alien and mastercam of similar size and i always try to place the mastercam first. 3/4 of the time i'm not satisfied with the master cam placement or it simply won't go in while the alien will often slot in perfectly and easily. Granted these experiences have occured on the not so straightforward 5.11 trad climbs of ltown. I'm sure they go in easier in places like squamish or index. It would be cool if the next generation of mastercams were a bit tweaked with perhaps 1 more degree of range and a larger trigger. But this thread is about Dave of CCH who proabaly had the biggest impact/evolution on modern active protection.
