  1. what about flying to India to boulder, then sit in the shade all day and say "it's hot out there, and like, it's really hot. we can't boulder because it's like really hot. We have to lay low and stay cool because it's hot and........"

    Which 4WD SUV?

oh dear, wasn't this thread put to death long ago?
  4. let me guess, they're all named "Dru"
  5. I've gotta admit, this is one hell of a thread drift... don't things usually drift toward sex rather than away from it?
  6. Iain, did you climb White Satin in the morning? We ran into two people who had just come down from there as we were setting up for Sky Chimneys...
  7. erik does have a point, I've noticed that lots of people around here are rather pessimistic about relationships...

another vote for the corn maze...
  9. agreed! the whole weekend was uberplab! Another thanx to Timm@y and Steve!
  10. Ah yes, the CLIT, an off shoot of the LABIA (Liberate Apes Before Imprisoning Apes). Never heard of em. The outtake on the DVD was hilarious! (Jon and Will carrying on for like 5 minutes unscripted)
  11. t minus anywhere from .5-1.5 hours until I bag work...
  12. the Black REI pants will work great for x-c skiing, light climbing, snowshoeing, etc in the winter. Don't expect to wear them in the summer, black is too friggin' hot! Also, it'd have to be in warmer temps (20's or above) because the fabric is thin (otherwise, go with polypro underneath). REI screwed up majorly by not continuing with the tan dynamic pants, they're perfect for summer climbing (and I haven't seen them around since early spring.)
  13. REI uses Schoeller Dynamic in their pants. Having said that, I have a pair, and I love them. I got the Buckskin color (tan), and I wore them all summer while climbing. I have a black pair of dynamic pants that I wear in the winter. They pill up a little, but it's not bad (and is to be expected). I'd say go for it.
  14. and it's even not bad for work!
  15. ummm... no what kind of screwed up math are you using?
  16. Tex, I may be able to accomodate. When did you want to leave, and where in PDX are you?
  17. some people have been complaining about Salomon's lacing system, but I for one love it. I've never had it come loose on me unintentionally, it's super easy to tighten and loosen, and being Kevlar, the laces are super strong.
  18. It's a loop, you start and end at the same place (at least that's what I was assuming.)
  19. Chalk up one more who's willing to transport refreshment of the liquid variety from Portland to Smiffy on Friday night... although it sounds like there's already enough help.
  20. or the Coalition for Liberation of Itinerate Tree-dwellers??
  21. Last a checked, Climb Max had a stack of Oregon Highs lying around. The book has stuff I haven't seen in any other books. Climb Max is on SE Division at 20th or so.
  22. I'll be there Friday and Saturday nights.
