thats pretty much the story i know of the magazine. but the publisher/editor was promising to restart the mag at some point. might happen. this mag has had at least two lives: http://www.mountaingazette.com/ similar shit went down with elevation magazine. my ineducated opinion is they paid way too fuckin much on printing costs and tried to grow like a mother fucker. elevation mag onced quoted to me that they had a subscription base of 50,000. no way. or they were giving 30,000 of em away. i hope that when the economy jumps again these mags reappear.

castle rocks is very nice. really just adds more rock to the city of rocks. but its lower elevation and about to get stinking hot.

i went to castle rocks this weekend for a little craggin. its the newly accessible place near almo idaho. some dork routes and some great ones were climbed. sure is fun to climb in shorts and sunglasses.

i had a cold can of stagg beanless chili last night for dinner (used an opener and spoon ) but the beanlessness dindt work. how come chili farts smell dam near the same as the uneaten chili? i think theres a research grant proposal right there for you university types.

pizza crusts outta the trash as degnans. perfectly good food that people drop on the floor and refuse to eat themselves. one memorable dirtbag morning was when i truly was dirtbagging it in camp4 (ya know where ya take yur bag and just lie in the dirt to sleep in someone elses camp). one a them rangers was trying to wake me up and the camper family told him to lay the fuck off (lied through his teeth to the ranger that i was his son. i aint ever saw that dude before too). when i did get up the camper family treated me to pancakes. people can be awesome.

i guess you aint ever had chowchow cause that kina relish shit is pretty good and all natural. i only seen it in texas and oklahoma so its the genuine redneck thing.
