  1. max- it's no troll. i think everyone knows that we'll ban who we want if we think it's necessary. the reality is that very few folks get banned and most bans are short-term. as a group, the mods have been discussing this topic. we decided it wasn't possible to come up with a clear set of rules. it made more sense to post something that reflected what we'd like to see. the parts that i like are: what goes around comes around and use common sense.
  2. yep...i was bored w/spray today.
  3. ah ferchrissake yer all a buncha whiny biotches. first you complain b/c there are no guidelines so no one understands why people are getting banned. now yer whinin like 2 yr olds w/dirty diapers b/c there's some input. complain away kids. there some style suggestions for ya. take 'em or leave 'em. there's still plenty o wankers wearin jeans that hang half way off their arses even though that style went out w/greg's clogs.
  4. A STYLE-GUIDE FOR SPRAY "If it's not climbing related this is where you post it. Here you'll find topics on just about anything and once in a while some good intelligent conversation. Be warned this forum is not for the thin skinned." Have fun in this somewhat unstructured forum, but it is not a completely "anything goes" kind of place and the tone should not be continual hostility. Further, highly offensive posts such as graphic pornography, overly crude and directly personal attacks, racism, or threats of physical violence will not be allowed. To a certain extent, what comes around goes around. If a user is talking trash all the time and they get attacked...tough luck; folks who don't troll or attack others should be treated accordingly. Specifically discouraged are unprovoked attacks on new posters who might not yet understand the SPRAY "phenomenon". Posters who contribute nothing but mean-spirited insults or insist on posting disgusting pictures - even in SPRAY - may become candidates for bannination from the board. Lets all have fun in SPRAY, but please observe at least some manner of civility even when playing in the mud. We can't draw clear black and white lines for you without risking taking the fun out of it - please use common sense.

hey i was cleaning out my desk and found 2 canadian pennies. is that enough for one of dru's thoughts? i know it's not enough for me to put my 2 cents in...
  6. i think i'm in for the 13th sketchy for this w/e. my babysitter has theater tickets for saturday night
  7. there is a chasm between what you believe and the real world. could a walmart worker buy a car? will any retail sector workers be able to buy a car in 10 years from now if the current trend continues? is owning a car a right? are they entitled to own a car? the retail sector may be the only one not shipping jobs over seas 10yrs from now. you never know...that might be the sector that is able to demand higher wages.
  8. hey greg, the environment (and your destruction of it) is everyone's business
  9. damn it! i hate agreeing with greg and mr. radon. there was a time and place for unions but now i truly question their values. do i have to hand in my membership card to the democratic party now?
  10. me too...wait...it was vantage but i worked on my tan anyway
  11. i think greggie might need to go back to his sewer of conservative pseudo-rationality
  12. an oldie but a goodie! i love this one
  13. i have seen the strikers on an overpass on i90, in front of the issaquah darigold and outside of a bothell QFC parking lot. they are out ther. i'm just not sure how much anyone cares
  14. i think the correct spelling is greggIE. i've wondered about this in the past. the only explanation i've heard is that the amount he received wouldn't have taken care of the pension short fall. it's a shame, a well managed pension plan can be a solid asset for a company. a poorly managed one can ruin it.
  15. I'm surprised that a working stiff like yourself could be so anti-union. Unions make life better for for a lot of people. CBS republicans as a whole are anti-union. this is a "gimme" when it comes to greg

call the local spay/neuter clinic and they'll take care of the problem.
  18. Given the wonderful accounting over there at OMB, it's hard for me to trust that 3% number. 25% and 3% of what? How is that 3% tied to each individual? How does that translate into dollars per recipient? Benevolent dictatorship doesn't appeal to me, but thanks for the offer to date you. I'll pass. i'll have to find it but i recall that being an independent study. i think i explained 3% of what. if you're having reading comprehension problems, i suggest that you whine about public education or some such. umm...sugar, i don't see anywhere in that post where i tendered any offer to spend time in your company. don't forget to have that lithium prescription refilled on time. you're becoming delusional again.
  19. But she was mean to me. That is her talent. Revel in it. thanks for noticing! it's nice to have one's talents acknowledged.
  20. But she was mean to me. "You are so clueless if you think ANYTHING about the federal government is efficient. Give me a fucking break. The new levels of civil servants and departments, etc. will be staggering. Let's look at Medicare. When Ted Kennedy shoved that up our collective ass in the '60's, he promised that it would never grow beyond a certain level. It has now exceeded even his wettest dreams by greater than 10 fold. Stay out of politics, honey; it's not about having a big federal daddy to take care of princess. " hey greggie, the gloves are off now. no one but my dad gets to call me princess. lets talk about efficiency. medicare obviously needs some help. and this prescription drug thing is debacle but lets check out some efficiency facts. 25% of dollars spent on private health ins. by employers as well as individuals go to overhead. in medicare that number is 3%. you want to live in a democracy? then guess what i get to participate in politics. at least i'm not an apathetic, uninformed citizen who does nothing to contribute to the political landscape. just b/c you want to be an occasionally benevolent dictator doesn't change the fact we live in a democracy. have a nice day.

and as pointed out earlier, i'm pretty sure she'd beat both your asses if you hurt the dogs!
  22. You know my answer to this. It's not the job of government to extort my individual wealth to pay for health insurance. It is, however, the purpose of federal government to make provision for national defense. How do you expect the Federal Government to do ANYTHING efficiently and cost-effectively? Private industry is the only way to go and allow people to make their own choices. Why should my taxes go to pay for insurance for someone who can well afford it on their own? the core problem is that most people can not well afford it on their own. the expenses of healthcare are out of control. private control of health ins has been anything but cost effective. it would be hard for the gov't to be less efficient. i've read a couple of studies on this topic which have pointed out that as much as 25% of the dollars spent on private ins by companies and indviduals every year goes to overhead expenses. in medicare this number is closer to 3%. it seems the gov't might be an efficient manage of healthcare.
  23. i'd be interested to know where the 50% number comes from and what defines proper health care. i know there is a substantial portion of the US population lacking health ins. but i don't recall ever hearing 50% before. greg, why exactly is that living in a dreamworld? why is it worse to spend tax revenue on healthcare v. military?
  24. resisting urge to spray in response to this post
