  1. If I was going to try it, I'd simply check the exposure for one shot and then divide it by the number of images I wanted to superimpose. Then at each time point, I'd take about 4 or 5 different exposures (on different frames).
  2. Carbon dioxide is the gas that triggers our brains to make us breathe. If it builds up, we feel like we are suffocating. Carbon monoxide doesn't have this same effect, but it displaces oxygen from hemoglobin, and in fact binds more tightly than oxygen itself. When you are being poisoned by CO, you are not aware of a sensation of suffocation. You may feel a headache however before you lapse into unconsciousness.
  3. That is, indeed, a beautiful building. Beats Frank Ghery all to hell. I wonder if HRoark would have liked it? The photographer would have to use a very slow film, small aperture and very short exposure times. Imagine how much light he's having to deal with!
  4. I agree. Rattlesnakes don't hurt anyone. They are part of the natural ecosystem. If the snakes were all killed off there would be too many rodents all the vegetation would be eaten and people would be constantly stepping in holes.
  5. Dude, you just dated yourself.
  6. How do you rope up on a snowmobile? Supposing you did stretch a rope between two machines. If one fell in, how could the other "arrest"?

    UFO?

Rockfall? You gotta be kidding. It's obviously a UFO!
  8. You want a chocolate frosting that is not going to melt and get all gooey. An unsaturated oil would not work.
  9. By this you are referring to the potential for greenhouse warming caused by methane? Methane is supposed to be able to trap more infrared radiation per molecule than carbon dioxide.
  10. They have a choice between hydrogenated vegetable oil (Crisco) which is rich in trans-fatty acids, or or lard which is rich in saturated fat. Another option is to use paraffin.
  11. Hmm, I lost my Red Beckey book. When you say "thin red", what are you referring to? An older edition?
  12. Remember, just because one can, doesn't mean one should. By this I mean some thought should be put into the route and the placement of the bolts.
  13. This is apparently where Dru got his information. It makes for interesting reading.
  14. http://www.komotv.com/stories/39355.htm Oly, this is a story that I am perfectly WILLING to believe!

    The Bunny

    Hay Bunny!
  16. You are just part of a vast Canadian Thread Resurrection Conspiracy.
  17. You'll never find out.
  18. A number of their assertions are highly debatable. The assertion that only 50,000 troops would have lost their lives in a WWII assault on Japan is absolutely laughable. The following statement is a bunch of BS. It doesn't matter whether it (the hydrogen) is there or not. I can't be accessed using less energy than you can derive from it. "All the clean hydrogen we need to power the world is already contained in crystals at the bottom of the ocean called gas hydrates. TRUE. The mainstream U.S. press doesn't talk about it much, but the world's hydrogen problems have a ready solution. Frozen ice crystals found off the shores of Canada, Japan, Russia, Iceland and other nations with Northern shores contain vast quantities of clean, frozen hydrogen -- enough to power the entire world far beyond the limits of petroleum reserves. The U.S. press doesn't talk much about gas hydrates, preferring to focus on hydrogen derived from either natural gas or petroleum (resources the U.S. tends to own or control). "
  19. Not everyone may be aware of this indication of carbon monoxide poisoning. It is a good thing to be able to recognize it.
  20. Hey check it out. New routes. Some look pretty good, such as the ones at Off-Ramp. Others look kind of blocky and similar to Overhaul Wall, which I don't really care for.
  21. Funny to consider then that my climbing career didn't begin until I had already attained geezerdom.
  22. Stop starting unnecessary wars. $500 billion.
  23. Sorry I should have used the "tongue-in-cheek" gremlin.
  24. If the topic is Famous Snaffles, or Recipes that use Horsecock, we'll win for sure.
