It's kind of nice working on a project that might produce a new drug that might someday save the life of a cancer patient. It makes up for at least some of the drugery.

I was at the top of my class of 300 in Organic Chemistry. I got straight A's in P-Chem and Inorganic Chem.

That company needs to get bought out by one that is managed better.

NOLSe, you don't know your from a hole in the ground, when it comes to chemistry.

I once watched a drunk and his german shepard dog pass me and a long column of cars in the turn lane at Gold Bar. I said to my buddy, I don't think we've seen the last of that guy. I was right. He tee-boned a family in a pickup truck that was trying to make a left turn. They didn't expect a car coming that fast in the turn lane. I stopped and gave a statement to the trooper because I wanted to see the guy nailed. I got a summons to testify in court in Monroe, but didn't have to go. The guy plea bargained at the last minute.

There is a certain peak bagger named Steve Fox, who is the undisputed master of the pun...well, actually klenke can give him a run for his money.

I thought the real question was who put the overalls in Mrs. Murphy's chowder?

Dude, what's the matter with you? Bobby's post was so on topic. It was the high point of this thread and you went and made him delete it.

One question I have concerns "sport tape restraining strip and collar for restricting the head movement and to ensure alignment". Are we referring to side to side movement or simply about keeping the head slighly cammed to begin with so it will rotate more readily?

Yes, Yes, and Yes, although jugging a super stretchy twin would not be very pleasant.

Target Shooting at Frenchman Coulee?

Shooting could hold my interest for all of about 5 minutes. Boring. -
Target Shooting at Frenchman Coulee?

I called Greg Fitzgerald, manager of the Columbia Basin Wildlife Areas, and asked him. It's definitely legal. He said that in some cases, the sherrif has limited shooting to shotguns only for safety reasons, but wasn't aware of any such restrictions in this particular area. -
Bands don't sound like a very good idea. You'd be better off with rods that are placed into the tree with enough space that the tree can grow around the rods for years before it pushes against the structure. NCascademtns built a freestanding building that is two stories tall. It's about 10 ft square. The lower story is storage for tools. The upper story is a loft for his kids to play. The back wall is an outdoor climbing wall.

That's exactly what I was intending to do with it. Bronco, where have you been? I noticed your recent return.

In some respects, yes, if not in terms of wealth.

Is it surprising that a senator would glom onto that one scientist in a thousand who still has doubts about Global warming as long as it supports his world view? Oklahoma is still an oil-producing state, although it's glory days are long over.

Driving back to work from lunch break I is stopped at a traffic light opposite a Jaguar dealership. A customer was giving a new car a careful once over to make sure it doesn't have any scratches. He is all bent over walking around, looking very carefully. He's going to drive that car off the lot and next week some moron is going to open his door and ding that nice shiny new finish. He is going to see this tiny ding and it is going to absolutely ruin his whole day. As for me, I drive an old beater. What? Me worry? If you were to ding my door, chances are I wouldn't even notice, let alone get upset about it. ----------------------------------------------------------- Southbound on I-504, a woman driving in the next lane, talking on the cell phone. She holds the phone in her left hand trying to carry on an animated conversation. She's one of those people who can't talk without using her hands, so she takes her remaining hand off the wheel to gesture in the air, then remembers she's driving and grabs at the wheel. The person she's talking to can't see her hands, but I can. It's entertaining, but I decide I better not remain too close.

Likewise, I'd take the 1.5, and 2.5 and up.

Uncrowded "secret" crag - it's Peshastin!
catbirdseat replied to Lowell_Skoog's topic in Rock Climbing Forum
Not all slabs are run out, Minx. Unfortunately, most the ones at Peshastin are. There are one or two routes that are safe to lead, in my opinion. The rest are top rope only. The place is behind the times, which is why nobody goes there. The climbs just aren't interesting enough to risk your life on. -
The male passenger in seat 22B swore, as he spilled catsup on his new business suit... Zzzzzot!
-
He means using it like a pair of twin ropes.

Be sure to come to the next Pub Club and introduce yourself.

Dude, you are downright belligerent today. What's eating you anyway?

A group of people were target shooting in the vicinity of the pond on land that is part of the wildlife preserve. Is this a legal activity? It wouldn't seem likely that shooting is compatible with this land use, not to mention it was annoying to have to listen to it while climbing. The kiosk says that fires and fireworks are forbidden, but there is no mention of fire arms. There were at least three people shooting semi-automatic weapons. Throughout the day they must have fired a thousand rounds. One of the things that they liked to do was load up, and firing together, empty their magazines by squeezing off as many rounds, as fast as possible in a mass fusilade. It sounded like Bagdad out there.

Which is Fabio?
